We were sitting long enough without being visited by a waiter so we knew what we wanted to eat and drink by the time they arrived. Our waitress, Gina, took our drink and food orders and as it was our first time at this restaurant we had some questions about the menu. At times she seemed slightly impatient with us but I didn’t think a whole lot of it. We ordered 4 drinks total, 2 of them being waters and the waters did not come out with our other drinks. I had to flag her down to ask for our waters a second time. Again, I didn’t think much of this. It’s understandable to forget about waters. Once we got our waters, she said our food will be coming and then left. While we waited for our food, she visited multiple tables around us several times to check on how things were going, but didn’t speak to us or look at us again until our food came out. Once she brought our food out, she asked if we needed anything else. We said no thank you everything looks great! And she left. Sadly, our French toast was cold. We didn’t want to press the issue but it was a tad disappointing. We ate for about 35 minutes and she didn’t check on us once. All the while, she repeatedly checked on every table around us. Apparently she noticed when we finished eating because she brought us our check without asking if we planned on ordering anything else. By this time we’ve been here for 1 hour and she has visited our table 3 times. We are prepared to pay, but she hasn’t been by the table in about 10 minutes so I ask the woman cleaning the table next to us for a to-go cup for my tea. Had Gina asked us, she would have been able to grab me a to-go cup but she did not care and I had no idea when she would be back so I asked another employee. Also, I felt that all I’d do is annoy her by asking for a to-go cup. When she finally came back for the check, my boyfriend was unsure if he was supposed to walk the check to the register and when trying to clarify she was rude and short with him about the process of handling the check. As the cherry on top, we overheard her ask the table behind us if they wanted any boxes or to-go cups with a great attitude. Not sure what we did to deserve such bad service but we are sure that we will not be back to this Huckleberry’s location because we do not appreciate being treated like a chore at a restaurant we haven’t been to before! If the food weren’t so good it would have been 1...

I shouldve followed suit...anyway Started off well, then they switched my waitress. Everything went south. Come to find out the new waitress was the GM. i wish i could properly explain how bad her customer service skills are. I mean brought me wrong sides, didnt get my huckleberry sauce. Never spoke a word or asked if we needed anything. Louisiana omelet horrible. Pancakes bad. French vanilla latte was ok. Waited 20min for my check after bad food. The fried green tomatoes were ok I guess. Now I was confused about my check...which could've been politely resolved and I would've understood no prob. But Man, The GM was on the defensive and rude from the jump. I guess asking for the manager automatically offended her. Her name is Mary btw. Definitely needs retraining in all aspects of her job. Look I'm not the most polite or easy customer to deal with, I get it. But I'm far from karen status. I simply expect fair customer service and attention. Instead Mary wanted to point out the increase in food prices as she failed to inform herself that im a father in a household of 7 so I'm well aware of every price increase in all market areas. They don't accept Apple pay, that's the only form of payment I had. She said well you can go to the ATM while your wife waits or we can take your plate number down and report to THE POLICE! At this point I just believe she Can't Understand Normal Thinking. Lol. Check issue: I sent a dish back because it was bad. It came with pancakes. So I misinterpreted the bill which could've easily been explained at MY TABLE! I got charged for the pancakes as the main entrée, which is understandable, though they're bad 👎🏾, when I inquired on the billing her response was "because you ate the pancakes right?" (Which I did eat ½btw) Explaining my bill, (since there were some changes) when it was initially presented would've made everything smooth. The food was bad either way. Maybe it's the cook? Also louisana theme restaurant with no bayou music or anything resembling French quarter vibe? 🤔 hmmm maybe the GM has no idea what that even is. Anyway it's unfortunate someone with such poor customer skills as Mary is the GM. Really gotta question the company as whole for that blundering decision. Anyway 0 for 3, 3 strikes you're out. I'll never return and I don't believe any changes will ever be made. I guess I'm not yo huckleberry...
