Rock & Wings — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I called to place an order and the lady I spoke with was extremely rude as if I’m inconveniencing her for spending money and placing an order. When I finally went to pick up the food I waited at the front desk for almost 10 minutes as I watched NUMEROUS waiters and waitresses look at me, see me standing there, and never coming to ask if I needed help. I then got frustrated from waiting so long to be helped so I walked up to the bar to try and get someone’s attention and was then ignored by an additional 5 employees that passed by several times while I am CLEARLY standing there waiting to be helped. There was a gentleman also standing near me and One of the Waitresses proceeded to ask HIM if he had been helped, looked over at me, and walked away. Never asking me if I’ve also been helped. I then had to tap a waitress on her shoulder to get her attention and she was ALSO extremely rude to me. I got a 10 piece boneless wings/ 10 piece traditional/ SMALL fry/ 1 side of ranch and 1 side of blue cheese. I spent a total of $42 which is the MOST I’ve ever spent on an order this small at a wing restaurant. The traditional wings were straight BONES…barley ANY meat at all. The flavors and heat levels they advertise on the menu are not at all accurate. Fries were cold and tasted like old cooking oil. My blue cheese dressing was like JELLO. Tasted soiled and disgusting. Please. Do yourself a favor and DONT EVER COME HERE please take your money elsewhere. Wing stop has WAY better quality wings for HALF the price. Just wing it is absolutely amazing and at least their price makes sense because their wings are full of meat and sauce. I was able to purchase 10 boneless/ 10 traditional/ a LARGE FRY/ 1 alcoholic drink/ and 2 large soft drinks for only $35. Seriously. This place sucks. I’m a customer bringing MY paying money and expecting to at least get what I paid for. Completely unacceptable. If you see a customer clearly waiting ASK if they need help. I shouldn’t have to go into a business and chase down an employee to help me. -0 stars...

Okay so I went there with a Friend Yesterday, and it was my 1st time going.

Staff was so Welcoming and Friendly.

The Place itself was definitely Clean, and has Amazing Decorations!

I ordered a Modelo Black from the Pint, and it tasted Amazing, especially with the Lime.

My friend Bought me a Mexican Candy Shot, and it was Perfect compared to other places I've personally gone to.

Wanted to try the Mango IPA, but sadly the Keg storing it was Frozen, but that's perfectly fine! Tried a Blood Orange IPA, and it was out of this world.

Decided to Try the Salad, and it's definitely Fresh. They even let you know ahead of time if the Food has any sort of Nut/Meat in it in case you're Vegetarian or you have Nut Allergies. I consider this very considerate and I give my Props to it.

Aside from that, I tried out the "Like a Stone" Burger (Rest in Peace Chris Cornell) it was Displayed very Beautifully. They even had their Restaurant Logo Branded on top of the Burger, and I found that to be Very Unique. Had it with Tator Tots and Waffle Fries. They were absolutely Amazing.

Last but not least, I tried the Special Lemonade. I was very Indecisive on the Flavor so I asked for all the Flavors in one. It actually tasted amazing.

Would I recommend anyone to visit this place: Yes.

Would this be a Great Place to take your Family: Of Course!

We were really impressed with this place. The theme is rock...classic rock, alternative rock, etc. The atmosphere was great, welcoming & really cool to look at all the rock related art on the walls, ceiling, tables & behind the bar. We ordered the Original wings & Lemon Pepper wings with Rockin Tots. The food was delicious & the wings are good size. Our waitress, Jazmin, was very attentive, knew every kind of beer they carried by heart, and had great customer service. The beer is served in chilled, clear glass mugs that literally have ice on them...so incredibly refreshing & delicious! I really enjoyed the rock music playing, the gigantic screen TV playing a sports channel & 2 other TV's showing rock concerts. As much as I enjoyed the place, this is somewhere I would go with just the hubby & leave the kids at home, so we could re ally enjoy it but it's not a bad place to take kids. The waitresses arent dressed skimpy either, which makes taking the kids ok, but still present a good level of attractiveness (if that's what your looking for). My only con, which did not reflect on my rating bc it was a small issue, was the room temp. It was cooler than outside but still kinda warm. I get hot when I have a beer so buy the time I was eating I was a tad sweaty. Overall, my hubby & I loved this place & will definitely return. We recommend trying Rock & Wings out. They do to-go...
