Tacos Los Cunados — Restaurant in Bakersfield

This is the place I've used as a comparison of what real, authentic carnitas and birria tacos should be. The carnitas tacos rivel some of the best I've tasted in Michoacán, Mexico. I don't recommend trying other meats, although they're good too, the carnitas (mixtas/surtidas) and birria de chivo are the best I've tasted anywhere in the U.S. It's a no frills lunch truck in a somewhat rough neighborhood of Bakersfield, but it's well worth it. I lived in LA for 6-7 years and I couldn't find tacos that could come close to these from Los Cuñados Bakersfield...
