Panaderia Abuelito — Restaurant in Balch Springs

I forgot to order a cake in advance. They helped me anyway.they called the cake maker at home and he was happy to come in and make my cake for my party that day. I love this place. Until my wife’s party Well My wife ordered a cake on Friday for it to be ready on Saturday before they closed at 9 because my party was Sunday and I called the place Saturday morning and they said the cake was already ready I specifically asked for them to make it later in the day so wouldn’t be sitting all day so when I went to pick it up the fruit was old and the cake was very runny on top I got it anyway because I figured it was still taste good well my wife’s party was Sunday and when we cut into it there wasn’t even any milk it was dry by far the worst cake that I’ve had from this place usually they have amazing cakes but this one was not very good and my guests were not very happy with the tres leches and neither was the birthday girl I originally gave this place five stars but I had to take it down to two because this birthday cake was terrible but they still get two stars because in the past their birthday cakes were amazing the icing was suppose to be the whipped cream but for some reason they put the nasty...

This is perhaps the greatest panaderia in Dallas. At the very least in the conversation for the best. I have tried multiple locations across Dallas including most of the big names in Oak Cliff. This ranks high up there and has become my favorite. All the varieties I have sampled are amazing. I am not sure what they are all called but I have never been disappointed by anything I picked out from the selection. So fresh, soft, and not the perfect sweet bread. Of the 5 plus times I visited twice they were bringing out freshly baked pastries to replenish the supplies.The place smells amazing and you can smell the bakery once you park. I went to asked if they had some quesadillas I guy said they wont have them till 5 so I pre place my order of 10 and payed for them .Then came back at five and asked if they where ready they said give me 20 more mins went outside sat on my car and waited then went back inside wend the 20 mins had pass and the girl said oh give me 30 more mins I said I been waiting since 5 .guys keep in mind I live 1hr away and I usually got to the one in mesquite witch they have excellent service but with this location it was a whole different experience i told the lady to give me the bread and she said she couldn't because the bread was still warm I said well give it to me in a box and she reply ima have to charge u the box I said its fine she charged me 2 $ more to put my bread in a box that I...
