Arlon's Pizzeria Carry Out & Delivery — Restaurant in Baltimore

Food is good but the lack of customer service displayed Monday night was terrible. I ordered food at 9:25 pm told it would be here by 10:10. I called at 10:15 asking for when it would arrive and she said he left out and would be there soon. 10:40 gets here and she gives me the same answer. I said no I’m sorry that answer is not good enough so I need to know exactly how long. She talks to the guy then tells me it’ll be another 20 minutes. I said no that’s unacceptable bc I would be waiting for almost 2 hours to receive my food. I’m only offered 20% off. I told her I wanted a full discount. I show up to the carry out bc I wanted my refund in cash. She doesn’t speak to me when I come in, I had to let her know why I was there then she puts the money in my hand and walks away quickly. Doesn’t apologize or anything. I like their food a lot but bad customer service can outweigh good food any day. I shouldn’t have to announce why I’m there and I should have gotten a hello goodnight goodbye. Then when I walk to my car I can see her staring at me out the glass with the mop bucket. What are you staring at me for? I didn’t walk in there with a problem nor was I confrontational on the phone. I literally live 5 minutes away... we wouldn’t have had this exchange had my food got...

I was an avid customer of Arlons for six years now but only set foot in the actual site 3-4x. This is a phenomenal place for quick picks and for carryout!

The plaza is a small place so parking is difficult, and even smaller inside. It is just big enough to walking, place your orders and for a few customers to wait but they are genuine and food is good. Off site carry outs, orders will take an average of half hour delivery. I always give a nice tip because the guys are so well mannered and they are willing to deliver almost wherever. I love them.

The food is packaged well, always arrives hot and is deeeeeeeeeeeeeliciousah! I am a lifelong vegetarian and so I love their samosas with tamarind sauce. Yummy! (#VegetariansEatOut2 😜). When I feel for more, I order daal (split peas or lentil curry. However this restaurant has popular Spanish, Italian, American and Indian food. Take your pick. From quesadillas, to custom made pizzas, to wings, to curry, you name it, they seem to have it. It's nice to be able to get good Indian food delivered. And the food we ordered last night was good. It arrived in 40 minutes - 10 minutes sooner than we were advised. So why only 3 stars? I bought a Groupon a couple of months ago. When I called in, I was told "we don't accept Groupons".

I was confused and tried to determine if they had done a deal with Groupon and then changed their minds. Because, it shouldn't matter. They should honor the deal they made until all the Groupons have been redeemed. The woman I was speaking to repeatedly dodged the question. I tried asking if they "used to" accept them and then stopped. I asked if they had previously done a deal with Groupon and then changed their minds. No dice. She just kept saying, "We just don't accept them." and "Maybe it's one of the other locations." Nope. It's that location on Falls Rd.

Long story short, there's a lack of integrity here. Businesses make mistakes but good ones honor their commitments to their customers nonetheless. This business is forcing their customers to go through the hassle of requesting a refund...
