HipHop Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Baltimore

I’ve always enjoyed the fish at hip hop. I recommend ordering the catfish fried hard because sometimes they fry it too soft for me. And that seasoning is so delicious. Not sure what they put in it, but I highly recommend and always get extra. The low rating boils down to the staff. They can be cool at times but they have been very rude at times... and for no reason! What happened to customer satisfaction? I guess they feel like their name is branded so they don’t have to provide great service. Similar restaurants throughout the history of Baltimore with the same idea have triumph and fallen. The place opens at 10 right? So how about have your staff on the building at 930 or at the very least 10. I go there to pick up an order for 11 at 1030. Dude unlocks the door and says "The cooks ain't here yet." At 10:40 10:45, here come the cooks, strolling to the place like they aren't late. No apology for the inconvenience, no heads up call to say, "Hey our cooks aren't here yet." Nothing, just a baffled expression when I said cancel the order cause its 10:45 and the cook just turned on the burners. This was your one chance to get it right Hip Hop, you screwed the pooch....

The chicken was fresh but fried just a little too hard just for me. The owner was very friendly and polite. They were very fast but the side orders are slipping the Mac n Cheese noodles were over boiled and watery and there wasn't any flavor at all nor was it baked like it used to be and the sweet potatoes were way too sweet, it's obvious whoever they used to partner with for the side orders isn't the same any more. I would do back for the chicken and fries but I'll pass on any of the other...
