Royal carry out is an Edmondson Village staple. I was excited to get a staple from my childhood. I recently ordered a chicken cheesesteak combo with a half and half. The cheesesteak was good. I could tell the toppings were fresh, it was hot, and the bread was good. The fries were very hot and the half and half was on point. In my opinion a little high in terms of price but was worth it considering the lack of options from surrounding carryouts.

Friendly staff. The food is made fresh, chicken box is their hit menu item. Salt, Pepper, and ketchup all over chicken box hits everytime. Their cheesesteaks are decent but would be alot better if they had a better sub roll. Sometimes they are really busy and recommend calling in. Its in the hood and sometimes too many people hanging out in front of the store and in front of Bryan's Chicken spot two doors down.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. Truly a staple in the community. The food has always been consistent. The chicken box is a classic. Their cheesesteak is good also. The half n half is way too sweet though. But I love this carry out. Nostalgic for sure. And they will not make your food until you show up (assuming they have experienced many people not picking up orders).

Listen, I've been coming to this spot off and on for years and it hasn't changed. Before today the last time i got food from here was about 4 years ago. Today is my last day ordering food from here. I ordered through doordash. The chicken wings are ALWAYS small. I don't want jumbo wings but what happened to the regular sized wings? They never sell those. And then they want to charge you almost $20 for a chicken box with those little wings! Y'all are crazy for constantly eating there without putting up a fuss. It's highway robbery. The chicken ain't THAT good. The subs are just ok. It's overrated and overpriced for low...
