Wooow, talk about HORRIBLE customer server!!! This place is terrible, I wouldn't recommend anybody going here. Okay, so I came yesterday, I had just had surgery and I really wanted some Nigerian food. I went and asked questions about their oxtail and their curry goat. I asked how big the goat was cut and the cashier, Faith was talking to me about chicken, why I don't know. Anyway, I order the goat and leave . When I get to my hotel room I open my meal and discover they gave me the chicken, I quickly call and tell her the mistake they made. Faith tells me not to eat the food and wait till tomorrow so she can replace it, I tell her. I haven't eaten all day because of the surgery and now everything is closed, I have to eat something. So she says, okay eat it and I'll replace it tomorrow. Okay, tomorrow comes, I call before I get there, then when I get there, they try to tell me it was my fault and I could be lying and if you go to a weave store you have to check your hair before you buy it. Okay, well, how did they know what I was there for if I were lying? Isn't it your job to repeat the order to the customer and IF you give them the wrong thing, isn't it YOUR JOB to make sure you give them what they ordered? Plus, why are we talking about weaves, I came to buy food not hair!!! What a rediculos why to do business. Their food was only $12, you think I can't afford $12, why would I leave my hospital bed and come and lie to get a sub-par meal for $12? The hotel I'm staying at has really good food and I get a discount, I didn't have to subjugate myself to such rude humiliation for $12. What is wrong with these people?!? I DON'T recommend going there. I had a horrible experience, if you're a business owner and you're too proud to admit when you made a mistake then God only knows how long your stupid business will stay open. There a many Nigerian restaurants that are waaay better, do yourself the favor and go there...
Read moreHORRIBLE!!!!! Not even worth 1 star. Just to emphasize my disappointment, it's Mother's Day today but I've escaped from family just to write this review. My son just moved to the Baltimore county area from Laurel. He asked if I wanted to go out to eat after church or order in, I chose to order take out and since I had a craving for Nigerian food today, we researched the area and found Lawfem was open from 3pm today. We waited till they opened and I called in my order. First of all, a child/young person (smart Alec) answered the phone but I did not mind too much since I figured the food would make up for it. My son spent almost $50 buying Jollof rice and Egusi soup. I could not eat the food because the rice was bland, the meat (I asked for chicken but pretty sure they gave turkey), the plantain was literally watery, the food DID NOT taste fresh. I called at 3pmish so I must've been the first customer. Now for the Egusi, it was sour-tasting...very awful. I now believe they warmed up left over food and served it because both meals tasted old and sour. Just to be fair, I had others around me taste both meals and they all had to spit the food out of their mouths. So much for my Mother's Day meal. Thank you Lawfem and Happy Mother's Day to you! I'm a writer and news media anchor, best believe I will be spreading the word about...
Read moreI order food from them on Monday February 6th using DoorDash and I can CONFIDENTLY say that will be the last time this restaurant gets my money. I typically don’t order from them because I am not a big fan and I have gotten food poisoning from them TWICE but it was Monday and the Nigerian restaurants I usually go to were closed. My jollof tasted funny almost like white rice and stew with a spoon full of curry, I literally couldn’t eat it AT ALL so I keep it in the fridge. Wednesday night I’m cleaning out my fridge and can u believe this rice was covered in mold! LIKE NOW I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT SELLING FRESH FOOD! Honestly I find it hard to believe this restaurant is actually operated by real Nigerians because if so THIS IS PURE WICKEDNESS AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Honestly don’t know how or why this restaurant is still open, over the last 7 years the quality of food has just gotten sooo bad that honestly at this point you can’t even pay eat there. If you’re looking for Nigeria food in Baltimore save yourself the trouble and just go try one of the others. Kuramo, platinum amala, Beulah or even Lodi’s kitchen BUT RESPECTFULLY THIS...
