Today was My first time in this establishment absolutely disturbing! I purchased several items. They had sweet potatoes pies that was cold from yesterday. I asked if I could get one fresh pie off the cooling rack where he was pulling the buns from. The guy told me “NO” I asked if I can speak with someone else and he also said no. I was suppose to purchase 4 pies instead I got three and the other items. After I paid for my items the guys at the register gave me my money and card and He said, “the next time I tell you no that means no!” I completely lost it! I wished he was that rude prior to me paying. I probably would’ve thrown the bag in his face. Furthermore I told him next time! Who told you there will not be a next time, in between time, or further down the line time. I will never patronize this establishment or my family or colleagues ever again. I gave him a few choice words. This is why black businesses are declining because your customer service suck. You don’t know me or how I can contribute to your business. Moreover this type of behavior and attitude you will lose more customers. Remember the movie Pretty Woman! You just made a big mistake!
PS! When I return to my office everyone said, I should have returned the items I purchased” that was my first and last...
Read moreVery clean, welcoming bakery. The women are warm and friendly. And they have an open bakery ( you can see them working in a prestine environment) I used to go there for their delicious croissants and whatever else I could grab. Clearly, they are very skilled at what they do and they care about the well being and preservation of the community. I wish I could give them 4 and a half stars. The only thing these women are lacking in, is range. I think they could branch out in what they offer. They have plenty of offerings like cupcakes, pies, cake, shakes and cookies etc. But I felt myself missing the fruit topped, glazed tartlets, miniature cheesecakes, chocolate dipped cannolis and eloborate confectionery designs I had become accustomed to in...
Read moreI found this establishment earlier this year in February searching for sweet potato pie. When I arrived, I was curious about he mural in the parking lot. I’m not a local, but wondered who was who. I went inside and saw the History lesson continued. What I like about this place is, the black history memorial is plus to the great baked goods. I purchased a few things my first trip; pie, cake, and the rolls(this man ordered like 3 packs so I had to try them). What I enjoyed about the sweet postage pie and coconut cake is they weren’t overly sweet. The cakes, I had another one, were. During my most recent visit, the same great flavor. I appreciate the prices being reasonable. I’m able to take some bake to CT for my family and...
