Slaughter Street Cafe — Restaurant in Barboursville

The food was great, but one of the workers was pretty rude to us.

As soon as we walked in, she rolled her eyes, the entire time she was short with us (as if we were a burden for supporting their business), and when we left and said “thank you, have a nice day,” she completely ignored us.

Also, they weren’t busy, we were the only ones in there, and bought a good amount of their baked goods/coffee (about 12 of us).

If they were slammed, I could totally get being overwhelmed. But, they weren’t, she was just rude.

I love supporting small, local business, but I don’t want to go somewhere if mine and my family’s patronage doesn’t seem to be wanted, much less...

Fresh baked goodness to tingle your tastebuds! The Bavarian creme creation is so scrumptious, it practically knocks my socks off! The ladies who work here are very friendly and welcoming, and the bright, cheery atmosphere just enhances the total experience. I look forward to returning often and making this my "go to" destination for donuts and cupcakes better than I could ever make at home or find...
