3.5 STARS I can't give a four because some of the items didn't seem like they were made in-house...the Guacamole and Salsa. The Guac looked like it came from something I buy often at Walmart. The Salsa was a wet puree of something. I had the Texas Fajita and it just tasted like a seasoned dish, never mind you can see nothing but seasonings. The Texas Margarita lacked the umph of its name. It was barely patrons there...that's your time to shine! My mother-in Law had the Salmon, rice and mixed veggies...I think the veggies were on strike because she was given a kids portion of the veggies. Suitable on the Salmon and Rice.

We visited El Durango with friends after a college softball game. We had a nice sized crowd with us. We were seated very quickly and had chips and drinks within minutes. The entire staff was very friendly. Everyone's order was accurate, fresh & delicious 😁

By far one of the best mexican restaurants we ate at in a long time! The food was great, service was excellent and there was no wait. Couldn't ask for anything more and I'll highly recommend this place!

I was very disappointed when my waitress said that they didn't have a Texas quesadilla. For those who don't know, it's made with shrimp, chicken and steak. They make quesadillas but not a Texas quesadilla. So I ordered a Fajita that had the three items that is in the Taxes quesadilla. Go figure! The Fajita was ok, but nothing to write home to Mom about. The salsa was watery and too tomatoey. After I finished eating, I sat for over 10 minutes waiting for my waitress to bring me the check. There weren't many people in the restaurant due to it was late in the evening, but my waitress was busy carrying on a conversation with a couple at the bar. I did something I don't like doing, I to whistle to get her attention for the check. I must say I now know why I haven't eaten there in years. I will stick to the Mexican restaurant I like. This one is not for me. Have...

Great atmosphere is what strikes me the most about El Durango. Easily better quality than El Aurora up the road in more areas than one. El Durango has more space, a better selection of food, more friendly staff, more booth space, and a better drink selection. The only real issues here are that the bathrooms (at least the men's) are a bit nasty especially the bathrooms upon entering the building (the men's stall does not even have a door!) and that parking is pretty limited so sometimes the restaurant will not be at full capacity, but will still have no parking. Hey you can always get take out though! My food recommendation for here would definitely have to be Tacos Azados on flour tortillas (I find there's to be the best in the area), a beer (of the Mexican favorite of your choosing) and get some fried ice cream for desert especially if you've...

The drink menu didn’t have any prices but after the recommendation of the waitress for their top shelf tequila we decided to get the picture. At first sip it was like it was made with Jose Cuervo mix with no tequila at all. A complaint was made but the waitress disclosed there were no refunds before even offering to fix the drink. The owner was close behind her which offered to fix the drink which was still unsatisfactory and we were again reminded there are no refunds. Ive elected not to drink any of the entire picture but my 140 lb date decided to put this to the test. She is currently 3/4 of the way thru this top shelf margarita picture at el Durango in barnesville Ga and rolling her eyes ready to leave. Maybe all the tequila settles at the bottom ? To be...
