Review for Spaghetti Lane Last night, we found THE Italian restaurant—Spaghetti Lane. We initially had a reservation for six but ended up with a last-minute change to eight. When we called, they didn’t just accommodate us; they welcomed us with genuine warmth that only an Italian restaurant could muster. The magic started when we arrived and sat down. The owner-chef himself came over and asked, “Would you like us to do family style and just start bringing out the best we’ve got?” The answer was, of course, a resounding yes. But here’s the thing: I don’t think he was cooking our food. I’m convinced he has a direct portal to Italy itself, pulling in every dish straight from the heart of Florence, Rome, and Naples. Course after course, the food kept coming, each plate somehow impossibly better than the last. There were dishes I couldn’t even pronounce, but each bite took us deeper into Italian culinary heaven. The flavors were as bold as they were delicate, and the ingredients seemed like they had been handpicked from some perfect little Italian garden. By the end of the meal, I could practically hear a chorus of angels singing in harmony with each perfectly seasoned, beautifully plated masterpiece. There are Italian restaurants, and then there’s THE ITALIAN RESTAURANT. Spaghetti Lane has set a new standard. If you haven’t been to Spaghetti Lane yet, go immediately. Trust me, you’ll be transported straight to Italy. It’s more than a meal—it’s an experience.

It's been years since I left a genuinely good review for a restaurant. Since moving to the area for a job, I haven't had any opportunity to have any good food/restaurant in the area. I had the opportunity to interact with the owners (I'm assuming) who were both passionate about their work and cooking directly from the owner chef. It may sound weird, but I felt LOVE from the food. I could feel that they were made with genuine love to make that food. They tasted amazing. The portion sizes were ridiculous, but I loved that aspect as well. I could feel that the chef cared for what the diners felt upon receiving the food. Both pasta dishes tasted perfect, something that we were looking for (and missed) for a long time. Thank you for such amazing food and experience. I feel like I found a gem and will definitely return for more.

First time visiting (with my elderly parents) who live nearby. We arrived early and got seated on the cafe side. Great overall experience from the sunny cheerful room, friendly servers who were on top of everything even as it got busy, to the owner/manager (?) who stopped by to check on us and to roll up his sleeves to help out, and of course the food. Portions are enormous—mom and dad will happily eat them for a few more meals at home. Complimentary bread and we loved the fruity olive oil on the table, along with crushed red pepper, Parmesan, and salt and pepper. Really awesome broccoli rabe, just north of al dente pasta (which is our preference), dad loved his fish and chips. We brought home some delectable-looking pastries. We will most definitely return.

Husband and wife team. Chef Michael grew up in an Italian family and the recipes were passed down from his mother. His wife Mary Beth manages the wine bar and pastry shop. She bakes about 50% of the Italian pastries. The other 50% of the pastries come from Modern Pastry Shop on Hanover Street in the Italian North End in Boston. The best pastry shop in Boston. My family's from Florence Italy So I've had a few Italian dishes in my life Everything was phenomenal Dessert I had the Italian cookie made with ricotta cheese. One Mary Beth's specialty creations. Outstanding in every way freaking delicious. The wine bar / pastry shop and espresso is in the second entrance on the left side I had dinner in the cafe not the main dining room. Chef Michael prepares the Italian delicacies for the restaurant and the wine bar / pastry shop. Service was impeccable. I chose the seafood pasta. Overabundance of scallops shrimp and lobster in a red sauce. Usually I finish my meal at restaurants. Extra large portion here I brought half of my dinner home. I grew up on the water. I've been on Lobster Boat, Scallop boats, fishing boats, plus digging my own seafood. All the ingredients of the highest quality Best I've had in the area The wine bar has an excellent selection of wines. Chef Michael and his wife Mary Beth are very friendly and came over to my table A real passion for food and service for their guests. Prices for the quality of food and the service is a real deal here. None better around the area. I chose an Italian Chianti Wine DOC that was absolutely Delicious. I left with a feeling that I was spoiled and...

I went out to dinner on a Friday with my two small kids, to get us out of the house while my husband was away. We went before 5 because I know Fridays are typically busy and kids aren't fun to be around. We were sat outside and after the host brought us our water the waitress came over and complained to the host, while at our table about why did she sit us here we were taking up too big of a table, it made me very uncomfortable and I offered to move but she scoffed me off and said no it was fine. After the waitress took our order I noticed that other tables were offered a list of specials, and were brought bread before their meal with oil and vinegar. We got bread, but no O&V and we were not told about specials. My last problem came when I got my check the waitress had overcharged me for an additional glass of wine, I understand that these mistakes can happen however it felt more intentional as I was obviously an easily distracted Mom out with her kids barely looking over the bill. In combination with the other problems I had with service I do believe this was intentional. The food was fine, but honestly my overall experience and how unwelcome and burdensome I was made to feel made me not want to come back here again. In a community with a lot of families I would think families with children would be more welcome, my experience at this restaurant...
