I’m giving the benefit of the doubt to this place because I have only been there maybe three times in my life. The most recent time was in early June and it was the first time I saw that they use screens to allow people to order their food with which I thought was different and a new experience. However, a friend and I were here at 7:30 pm and the service needed improvement, a lot of improvement I should say. If there was a rush of people I would not have had any problem with the service since I completely understand it is sometimes hard to be quick when there are a lot of orders to complete but since it was 7:30 at night and there were maybe two cars in the drive through (and one group of four teenagers who didn’t even order anything inside) there were not much room for excuses with how the service was for my friend and I. Another thing I would like to mention is the fact that there was no way they were understaffed either because there was quite a few people working in the back. Anyways, my friend and I wanted to try the new slushees that they offer but when my friend ordered it a manager or cashier (not exactly sure which) came out and said something along the lines of:” I hope you didn’t order a slushee because we are cleaning the machines right now”. This wouldn’t have been an issue if she would have been slightly nicer to my friend considering when she ordered the slushee through the screen there was no indication that the machine was out of order at the moment. I ordered a chocolate milk (since we couldn’t have slushees), French fries, and the three pack of chocolate chip cookies. While we were waiting for the food (over the span of 10-15 minutes) the same lady who told us the slushees were unavailable was also loudly remarking how she had no idea if they even had cookies. Apparently they did so I was able to have warm cookies and French fries (which were thankfully tasty) however it was a good thing I checked my bag before I left otherwise I would have gotten charged for a chocolate milk that was not in my possession so I asked for the milk and after that we left. Once again let me restate that this location was essentially a ghost town and yet they were acting like there was a line out the door. If they can barely function at 7:30 pm when there are only a small handful of customers at their store I can only imagine how bad it must be during the rush at lunchtime. The only thing that really redeemed this store was that when I actually got ALL of the food I ordered it tasted like it should and also that the store was very nice and the inside (with the screens and everything) appeared brand new. Other than that, I really hope the staff could improve their teamwork if I decide to come back in the future. I also hope I could get a slushee in...
Read moreWhat a joke this place is, right after Christmas I went through the drive-thru and received a large French vanilla cappuccino the thing tasted like milk and syrup, called and complained about it at the time. The manager that answered took down all my information saying she would send me coupons in the mail because I wasn't able to turn back around, I never received the coupons, weeks went bye and when I finally drove through Barron I stopped and came inside, explained to the manager on duty what happened, that I never received these coupons for my messed up drink, she tried finding me in their book they keep of customers complaints and couldn't find me. She was nice enough to honor the mistake and made me a new one and I went on my way, but because of it being a hot drink I didn't try it right away and when I was able too I was too far away from the location before I got the chance to drink it, it tasted like the same way that it was from the 1st complaint I made, so I called them letting them know about the issue and the manager said she'll put me down for sure in the complaint book and I said that I wasn't sure if I would be coming back. But I decided to since I was already owed it, tonight I go through the drive thru and it's the same manager that I saw from the last time, but this time she had her back turned towards me and her cashier who was in the back bubble or aka register for the ones who've never worked in fast food were smirking at me. Now I'm not stupid and yes I was a manager at a McDonald's before, but when a customer files a complaint their name should have been in that complaint book, so how is it that I was promised something through the mail, gave a manager all my information over the phone and yet you couldn't even find my name anywhere and when I go to claim the item I get treated like I'm scamming the place for an item that I paid for once, that was messed up and then it gets messed up for a second time and I get treated like I'm a thief? At least your sister location in Turtle Lake knows how to make things correctly, if they make a mistake they fix it right away and they know how to treat their customers very well over there, maybe this store needs to take...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I've ever had in my entire life at a fast food resturant, and I've gone here many times. I do not like making negative reviews but something has to be said. The manager was very rude and disrespectful upon us going through the drive through. We placed an online order and once we got to the second window, the manager gave us only one of the drinks that was a size small with ice in it, when we ordered a large no ice, and only one meal, when we ordered two. We politely told him that we didn't get the right size of drink, and that it had ice in it and we still needed the other meal. He said "The $5 meal deal, has the smallest drink and that's what you're getting." I said "sir we upgraded" and we told him we'd get the receipt. He scoffed, got frustrated and argued with us. So once my friend and I handed him the receipt he said "oh my god". He then yelled at us to give him the one meal/bag of food he did hand us and said "that ones not your order its the wrong one, thats what ive been trying to tell you!" As if we had any idea he'd given us the wrong food since we checked and it was one of the $5 meal deals. So we gave it back. Then they told us the machine was not working for the frozen drinks so I requested a refund..since I paid for it. Once we recieved our food, they didn't even give us the right sauce. Ultimately I couldn't care less about the sauce, I'm more so disheartened to see such a person taking charge. I hope that he treats people more kindly in the future because that was totally unacceptable behavior. And as a local, I don't think I'll be coming back to this...
