Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Barstow

Rarely do I leave a bad review when it comes to a restaurant, I try to give each business a couple of chances, but this place, I totally understand why it was empty, at dinner time on a week night. There are some lazy workers here, the place looks as if they recently opened up, but you wouldn’t think that when you go inside. The ice machine for the soda fountain wasn’t working, they gave us ice from the back, didn’t have a problem with that, but in front of the soda machine was splashes of soda that made that whole area a sticky mess. There were 5 employees there, no one could bring out a mop and clean that up? It takes 1minute to do so and help them to not have people dragging this stickiness all over the restaurant. There was an employee that isn’t on the clock yet that kept saying over and over, ‘she better not get fired for trying to help while off the clock’ Really? I don’t need to hear your drama, either you’re working or you’re not. Same employee were talking with the ones on the clock, loudly at that, while we waited almost 20 minutes for our food. We were the only ones in the restaurant, drive thru was empty but I think one car came through while we sat there waiting. Their lids weren’t filled, so again, employee not on the clock helped refill lids. This was our first time eating in Barstow, definitely not impressed, will probably give them another chance when I go into Barstow, but it would be a last resort kind of thing. We came from a place where service was everything, I’m giving them 3 stars because our food was alright, other than that, I hope to see better service next time. We shall see

Edited Review- 12/2020 We have been frequenting Jack in the Box since going to Walmart for holiday shopping, out of 4 trips, once they forgot my order of tacos and twice they forgot the sauce for my kids’ chicken nuggets. However, seriously impressed with the service and the food. I changed my review from 3 stars to 4 but I’m seriously glad they turned things around. I noticed how crowded the drive through line was each time we’ve gone but the service was much faster and very much improved. The workers have been friendly and very professional, whatever the owner did is for the good of the business and I’m definitely a returning customer, my kids now prefer Jack in the box kids’ meals over any other fast food restaurant👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Keep it up guys, you guys deserve all the good reviews...

This store sucks. They park every car that comes through the drive thru. I think they care cheating on their times. Have customers sitting outside for a long time waiting. Adding to my complaint. I told the girl I wanted a number 26. She said number 6 what size small medium or large. I said no a number 26. Sat out front waiting for my food they bring me and charged me for the number 6. Kind of copped an attitude, lying to the person.That's now taking orders saying that she asked me.No I had to correct her and she still rang me up for the wrong combo. Apparently somebody has a listening problem. The hispanic chick with blonde hair shouldn't be doing drive thru if she has a listening problem. Then told me I wasn't getting a refund for 3 days. I've had some Jack's give me cash back even though I used my card when they screw up. Fast food employees are horrible listeners. Then they want to be rude like you did...

It’s 1:30 a.m, literally just wanted some food.. the girl working was beyond rude. She asked us to park in the front so we waited for our food which came out pretty quickly. Although she comes out and aggressively hands me the bags of food and quickly walks away. Forgetting my shake I told her on the way in about it she let me know she was going to grab it while not even looking back at me. While waiting for that I noticed my fries were stale and cold. I work fast food as well as dining so I knew these fries had been sitting for a while. She hands me my shake and doesn’t even reply when I asked to have my fries remade. Literally the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Fire that little girl. Me and my friends will not be back until she’s gone. Rather waste gas going to...
