Last week I went in to in to upgrade my iPhone 7 to a iPhone Xs and was told a load of false information resulting in this store to lose all creditability in my eyes. 1.I was told my sons iPhone 6sPlus 128GB was going to fall off the data network when Verizon goes 5g in January so I should look into upgrading that line as well. This is not true, it is only 5G in select cities and then hopefully country wide by 2020. The only phones falling off are iPhone 5s and below. (Verizon website in regards to unsupported GDMA phones starting 2019) I was told I should cancel my current WPP because it in nothing more than an extended warranty (funny since verizon sells an exteneded warranty under the description "extended warranty") and I should switch to the TMP because it is only 39.00 for the 4 lines I have. If you read the fine print for the total coverage it is 39.00 for three lines and an additional 9.00 for each additional line. Even though I showed him the fine print he said it was not true however he could not prove me wrong, he stuck to this even as I pulled up the Verizon and Asurion websites to prove my point. So if he was correct he should have the information ready since I had three supporting references for my argument. I was also told since I was military the upgrade fee of 30.00 would be waived although on all the quotes I got included the fee. I won't even get started with the plan quotes because everyone's plans will be different but the plan he tried to get me to switch to was jacked up and if I would have left the store with the phone in my pocket my bill would've been over 70.00 more per month than what I will be paying after going online and upgrading my phone. (my current plan is unlimited everything and the plan he recommended was actually a downgrade in data speed)
My advice to anyone is to do their research before going into this store and if you have family members that are not very technologically inclined please send someone in there with them so they do not get ripped off. With cell phone plans feeling more and more like a car payment treat going phone shopping like going to a car lot and do not let them "used car salesman" tactic you into spending a lot more money than you need to and be prepared to walk away because I did. The salesman were in no way rude they are just trying to upsell to the best of their ability but once I felt lied to it was the breaking point so I cancelled my order went online and now have the same phone in the mail being sent to my house. Although I was not able to leave the store with my shinny new phone I will end up saving a ton of money over the long run and I would advise anyone to be prepared to...
Read moreIf you don’t have the time to read all the ways in which this Verizon dealer tried to pull a fast one on me and my family... just take my advice and DO NOT GO HERE. Drive to the corporate dealer in Victorville. If you want to doubt the advice I have to offer, go see for yourself.
They totally ripped us off. Charged us service fees that they didn’t mention over the phone and then told us there would be no activation fees posted to the account and there were... for bringing our own devices even. Not to mention, had we done everything online we would have been charged half the activation fee and had to pay no service charge. We asked up and down and they reassured us on everything yet we literally got charged for everything they told us we wouldn’t. I’m on the phone with customer service right now regarding a rebate they said would be honored yet never gave us a promo code for. However, they promised we would get our 250$ per line ported in but we had to do it after the fact. The key trend here is... after the fact. 2 months later I’m here dealing with the ramifications of them telling me everything had to be done when I left the store only for them to get their hand out and screw us during a time like this. They also said we had to do the first responders discount on our own... if we had done it in store (if they had done their job for first responders to honor them at this time by taking two seconds to help us set it up) our activation fees would have been waived. Instead, they gave us no information on how to do so and told us that everything would be fine later. Here we are.. paying 60$ for each line including service fees and activation fees for BRINGING OUR OWN DEVICES. Our rebate has yet to be offered because they told us it would be honored yet did not provide us with the promo code or the information that their store is not a qualifying retailer for a promotion. That’s a loss of 250$ per line for which I’m still in contact with customer service trying to recover. I am baffled by the failures of this Verizon dealer. To blatantly disregard the requests of the customer and knowingly put them in a financial position like this during a recession.
DO NOT GO HERE. If you are a new or continuing customer, do not step foot in this store. Take the extra drive to the corporate store in vic. Please avoid the horrible service, misinformation and charges...
Read moreEdit: After posting this review, the manager of this store got into contact with me and gave me a full refund of everything I was oversold. I'm still leaving this review at only three stars because the employee also signed me of for monthly subscriptions such was Walmart+ without my knowledge or permission.
Slow, shady, and straight liars. My phone broke and I went to those store to buy a new S23+. My wait time was more than 20 minutes even with only three other customers in the store.
Steven T told me that because of the phone I was buying, a bundle including a case, screen protector, charger block, and camera protector was all included in the price of the phone. That I didn't have to pay any extra for them.
I was charged $300+ and was told that was just taxes and part of the down payment on the phone. The entire time Steven told me I couldn't buy just the phone. That I had to buy this entire bundle. Steven T would not show me his tablet or computer and kept everything hidden. He then told me he would email me a receipt.
I was never emailed a receipt. After working with customer service I finally received an itemized receipt almost 24 hours later showing I did pay extra for this mandatory bundle that I "had to buy".
Completely lied to and ripped off by this customer...
