It’s our last day of vacation and we decided to go to Tuckerman’s for the first time and unfortunately had a terrible experience. Our family of four (2 adults & 2 young kids) ordered drinks and nachos which were great. We then ordered two cheeseburger meals for the kids, my husband ordered a new york strip, and I ordered the filet cooked medium. Our meals arrived and all were great but my filet was very very rare, almost purple in one portion. I had been careful to read the descriptions on their menu of how they cook their steaks and Medium was described as “firmer with a pink center”. When the waitress came over we told her about the steak and she said that she could see if maybe the chef could cook it more. We asked if it was possible to just get a new one as it was cut in two places and covered in sauce. She said she didn’t think that was possible but she would check. She left for a few minutes, came back, and said she was sorry and that they couldn’t give me a new steak and that the only thing they could do is take half the cost off the bill. We were shocked as we’ve never had this happen anywhere. We just said okay. I ate some of the mashed potatoes on the plate and the rest of the family enjoyed their meals. I would have ordered another drink and we would have ordered desert but we really weren’t too happy. The bill came and the filet was $46 and they took off, not half, but $20. We made sure to leave the waitress a good tip as it wasn’t her fault and she was very nice. When we left I took the kids outside and my husband asked to speak to the manager. The manager told him that he would have come over to the table but he was mowing the lawn or something. He then said that the waitress should have offered a new steak but she hadn’t worked there long. He then gave my husband a gift card for $30. We live 2.5 hrs away and only come up to North Conway in the summer for a few days. My kids were so upset and felt so bad I didn’t get to eat my dinner despite me telling them it wasn’t a big deal. Just an all around lousy experience. The rest of the family really enjoyed their meals and we would have loved to make this a regular place on our annual visit to North Conway but customer service is everything. We...

We were extremely disappointed in our meal on our recent visit. We had first visited Tuckermans 3 years ago and had an incredible experience. Since that time we had recommended the restaurant numerous times to friends who were going to the area. So when we just came back for a long weekend Tuckermans was on the top of our list for dinner. Both my wife and I ordered the prime rib special 12 oz prime rib was $38. and included two sides. I ordered my prime rib rare which they said was red cool center. My wife ordered her prime rib medium rare which they said warm red center. To be fair we should have complained immediately when our food was brought out. My rare prime rib was pink cool center and my wife's was pink to brown cool center. The meat was also not tender but rather tough. When our server came out to check on us we explained that we were disappointed. She seemed to acknowledge that the prime rib was over cooked but said it was very early in the evening and that's the best they had for our request. Both my wife and I did eat as much as we could considering we were paying more than usual for a 12 oz prime rib. The two sides we received were good so our only complaint is with the prime rib. On our way out after paying for the meal the nice woman at the front desk asked about our experience and we explained everything to her. She seemed surprised and told us she would speak with the chef. A little too late as there are so many dinning options in the area. Unfortunately I don't see us returning or recommending Tuckermans again. One other issue we had was that on their menu the chophouse steaks and the prime rib special do not give you a price of the meal. You need to ask your server of the price on any chop house or prime rib they offer. We don't mind spending the money for a quality meal but I'm sorry to say Tuckermans...

My family visited Tuckerman's Restaurant & Tavern last summer and had an enjoyable dining experience. I would recommend going to the restaurant early when they first open to avoid the wait. However, once you get seated, you're in for a treat! The restaurant had a high end feel while also being family friendly.

The appetizers alone were worth the visit. We ordered the Skillet Mozzarella & Marinara, and it was amazing. The cheese was melted to perfection and the marinara sauce was light but full of flavor. We couldn't get enough of it!

For the main course, my wife ordered the Pot Roast and was blown away by its tenderness and flavor. It was cooked to perfection, and the meat just melted in her mouth. After a taste I wished I had ordered it as well even though the Open-Face Wagyu Sandwich I ordered was also amazing.

In addition to great food, Tuckerman's Restaurant & Tavern also has a full lineup of beers brewed in house. It was great to see such a variety of beers available, and I found it hard to choose just one to try. I must say, the beer was delicious, and it was the perfect pairing with the food.

Overall, I highly recommend Tuckerman's Restaurant & Tavern for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and atmosphere while in the North Conway area. If we didn't live so far away, we would make this our go-to restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was top-notch. The restaurant is open on Tuesday when many in the area are closed which is a huge plus. I would definitely visit Tuckerman's again on my next trip...

Dinner tonight was so good at Tuckerman’s! New place for us in the North Conway area….. a wait is common, but so worth it. My husband had a rum punch and I have a lemon drop martini, which was so good! Apps were French onion soup and the mozzarella skillet, which is huge! While it wasn’t the best French onion soup we have had, it was decent and something I would order again. The mozzarella skillet was gooey and the crostini was a perfect compliment to the sauce and cheese. Dinner was the braised short rib Marsala for him and the Shepard pie for me, both were outstanding, but I only managed to eat about a 1/3 of my dinner. The best part of the night was our server, Lindsay. She was attentive, personable, and made great recommendations on the lemon drop martini and the chocolate martini! One of the best servers we have had in a long time. If her “sister” is working the bar, get the chocolate martini, it is smooth and tastes like chocolate milk! Definitely a place I would come back to, food and service were wonderful!
