Stubbies Sports Bar & Eatery — Restaurant in Basalt

I travel all across the country as a Chef And my number one goal once I've entered into a different state, City, location, is to find a nice watering whole bar that I can destress after a long day and either watch the rest of a sports game or catch the highlights of a game I've missed. With that being said... I'm currently in Aspen and I've visited this bar a few times. It's just a few minutes away from town Aspen and it is a really nice chill spot. The bartenders are really friendly and phenomenal at making drinks. My first day visiting the place I met Christiana and her local friends. They all where very friendly and made me feel like family. Im from the south and we are known for our southern hospitality, so to receive it all the way up here in Colorado was classically outstanding. 💯👍♥️🙂. And to top things off... I came back a second time to chill and catch up on my sport games, and the second bartender I met Jeannie ( GO DOWGS!! ☺️) was just as friendly and hospitable as Christiana 🙂. So it concluded for me that the employees here are genuinely friendly and this place will be my new watering hole home away from home. I know I'm not as familiar as most of the locals, but I hope that as I continue to come and support the establishment I'll be excepted as a friendly...

Bartender was absolutely awful. Food was garbage. Staff made a mistake and charged me for food I didn’t order. Bartender refused to take it off until i stiffed her, she goes on a rant then eventually says she could have comped it…. Absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced in a bar. She was flakey and unattentive and rude AF. Told me to go somewhere else next time and that really won’t be a problem. Garbage bar....

I would dare to say this is a locals bar. It has a great vibe; in a classic Dive Bar Sense (minus the smoke). Friendly folks, packed trivia night. Great local beer at reasonable prices.
