Disappointing "rapid" pickup at this location.
I arrived to pick up my one drink at 10:55am, which I'd ordered ahead because I have a limited amount of time for lunch.
Got to the pickup counter at the back of the store and they asked me my name. I told them, and they said the drink was "being worked on." OK.
Stood there for 3 minutes, at which point, the person who asked me my name asked "is anyone working on that latte?"
The answer was apparently no, or the drink had been abandoned in the middle of being made, which is a problem, because if the drink doesn't have the dairy/dairy substitute added within about a minute of the espresso shot being pulled, the shots die and the drink tastes burnt/like decaf, and that's obviously undesirable.
I gave 2 stars rather than 1 because they weren't rude, just really slow, and I'm sort of expecting that my drink is going to taste as I described above, especially because I only heard a shot being pulled once the entire time I was in the store, so I think the shots were likely forgotten about for the 3 minutes I was waiting. I'm not trying to be a male "Karen," (...Marin? ...Kale?) but I did other ahead, andgetting a latte isn't something I often treat myself to, so I really like my drinks to taste good. Otherwise,...
Read moreThis Panera is awful, from the service to how the food is prepared. I live around the corner and was excited when it first opened early Summer 2015 as I am an avid diner at Panera. On our first visit they had bad service and food preparation but I attributed it to growing pains of a new franchise. Months (and multiple visits) later and I've had it with this location. I ordered $21 worth of breakfast sandwiches today (which took the cashier about 5mins to get correct) and what I received was greasy mush that I fed directly to my trash can. One of my Turkey sausage, egg white, spanich sandwiches looked like it had left over crumbles of egg white (see picture). The other looked like they cooked it in the fryer, the grease was soaking through. I would've been better off going across the street to McDonald's for better food. I love Panera but this location is not worthy of the brand. If you're looking to have Panera, do yourself a favor and drive to the location in Downtown Batavia or on rt. 59 in Naperville. The quality and service of this location is horrendous. Panera corporate should be ashamed that this location is wearing their...
