Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Batavia Township

Do not go to this location!!! Save yourself gas, money, and time!! The staff is terrible!! I ordered online for pickup and they took 1 hr and 30 mins to give me my smoothie and food!! My smoothie did not look how it usually comes. It looked as if they put rotten fruit in it. It tasted disgusting. The food was cold. The staff was terrible they were pretending they didn’t see that everyone was standing there angry waiting for their orders. They were a mess. Staff is unorganized they make the smoothies but not the food. The manager has a lot of work to do at this location. They need to have an order so food+smoothie is made at the same time..Also if I order for pickup if the food is ready put it in the cube where people expect to pick it up… this staff had the ready smoothies sitting on the other side of the counter. I don’t know if they expect the customer to go around the counter and look for their drink…. So I wasted money and time and I didn’t get a refund and the smoothie and food ended up the garbage as it was terrible….I love tropical cafe, but such a terrible experience at this location so now I have to drive 15 min further down the road to the tropical cafe on Orchard Rd. That location did their job correctly and staff...

I have been going to this place since it opened a couple years back. I pick-up and order drive-thru, but mostly pick-up through the app. The service and quality are top-notch, especially since most items on the menu are made on the spot after you order. With 20 years of experience in restaurants (serving and management) I can confidently say that this place is as good as it gets for a quick meal around here. Clean and healthy (especially if you get “no turbinado” sugar in ur smoothie). I work around the corner with 75 others and have never heard a bad thing about this location. If anything, on a couple occasions, if there was a mistake, they listened and MORE than took care of the issue. They must do a great job hiring/interviewing because all the workers are friendly and hard-working. It takes a team to be consistent and have good output in a place like this…Tropical Smoothie Aurora off Butterfield has definitely proven themselves to me…i hope they continue on like this for years...

It wasn’t until I went to another Tropical Smoothie that I realized this was the best Tropical Smoothie. Everything you get here is picture perfect to what is being advertised. The food tastes good EVERY TIME. When I use the app my food is waiting for me on time, still cool and fresh. Best Tropical Smoothie location!

Also, I honestly don't know what's up with all the bad food reviews? I go here twice a week and have been pleasantly surprised that I've never had a bad tasting smoothie. The places in Naperville always have this apple juice bittersweet after taste I never liked. This place has nice fruity sweet smoothies without fail. Seriously, as someone who does come here twice a week, try it for yourself with the affordable kid size smoothie, worst case scenario you lost $5, best case scenario you found you're new favorite smoothie...
