Cook Out — Restaurant in Batesburg-Leesville

Loved stopping by the one in Lexington or Aiken before this one was built since I rarely went there and could get them when I did. But the Batesburg one has been really good every time I have stopped by the drive-thru workers are super nice and friendly and the food is normally always ready when I get to the window. I've had one experience where I got a hotdog plate and one of them was overcooked a little but I'm not gonna complain too much since it was during lunchtime and a ton of people were behind me in line and it was like the 6th time coming here. Every other time the order has been correct with no issues and even when they're super busy they're still quick to get people thru the drive-thru and inside I would think also. Definitely would recommend stopping by if you have ever had them before or wanted to try the place, was one of my favorites places to stop when I went to Lexington or Aiken before and the Batesburg seems to be runned super well with...

This was our first time ever eating at Cook Out. We are visiting from out of town and figured let's give here a shot. We ordered 3 chicken quesadillas and a Big Double Tray. The workers were very polite. The burger, fries, walking tacos, everything tasted absolutely great... right up until I got a little over halfway through the burger. That's when we noticed and ended up pulling a long strand of hair out of my mouth. -_- Needless to say, that messed the meal up. I purchased our meal through the drive-thru. So we couldn't see much of anything regarding how it was prepared. Whatever the case may be, that definitely soured the experience. Everyone we could see had on hair nets, but obviously it came from somewhere. Hopefully I was the only one that ran into this issue that night...or...

Long post but worth it 😄 As a family of 5, I hate ordering through the drive thru. The ordering process for an order that large is drawn out and usually ends in frustration for the employee taking the order and for myself for having to order. I try to go to restaurants that have online ordering but tonight my family asked for cookout and I dreaded it. But alas, Samantha was my shero! She was sooo patient when taking my order, and instead of interrupting me during my order by asking "anything else," she waited until I paused between trays and asked "what else can I get for you?" Just the difference in phrasing was a breath of fresh air. It may seem silly to be this thankful for something so simple, but after a long day of work it was so appreciated.
