Waffle House — Restaurant in Batesburg-Leesville

I literally only come here if my mom wants food from here because that’s how many bad experiences I have had. . When you walk in no one I mean no one greets you. The lady who cleans is the nicest person there. I order online or go in to order and every time I stand there waiting to order as I watch no one greet me or place the order. I get frustrated every time because I literally watch them cash out the dine in first or continue to work as if no one sees you standing there . This last time my mom placed an online order because like I said we hate going in there and when I walked in no one said anything. As I’m standing at the register I watched 2 cooks leaned up against the grill talking to a Caucasian girl with her backed turned to the guest on her phone talking to the cooks. The 1 waitress was helping her guest and I watched a guy come from the back to put his apron on. Now there are 3 guest in there all at the one table the waitress is helping. No food is being prepared. I eventually get tired of waiting and no one saying anything after at least 7 mins and I say is anyone going to help me. The cleaning lady says sweetheart did you have a call in order, I respond no ma’am I have an online order which by the way I am looking at and have been looking at for the past 8 mins. The guy who walked from the back with an unfriendly look grabs the food and hands it to me. Still no acknowledgment, I respond thank you and walk out upset. If they don’t like their jobs and cannot handle working in the public that is not the best job to have. I’ve worked in restaurants and management of restaurants and worked in customer service for 15 plus years and understand that what they are doing they don’t enjoy. I’ve had this experience the last 4 times I’ve been in there so something has to change. I decided that they would no longer get my money I’ll go to moms and pops or hebrews cafe before I come into...

My family and I are well aware it’s a Waffle House and there is so much you can say about the food. When the food is served hot and with a smile and amazing personality. What more could you ask for. We come every Saturday and Sunday. Yes we could go elsewhere in the area and support Local small businesses but they do not have the golden gem waitress and cooks here. Marissa, Dee and Alisha are the true shining stars here. They always welcome you with a smile and keep the tables rolling. No matter how busy they are they always make you feel like you’re the only table! Our cups never run empty, food is always hot and the three listed and the cooks completely incredible. If the small business around here had people like Marissa, Alisha and Dee maybe we would go twice a week to them. Now we only come for breakfast because we do not care for the second and third shift. I am all about supporting small town businesses but how about supporting your local community members. Just because these ladies wear Waffle House Uniforms doesn’t mean they are not apart of the community. Support them allow them to make you smile and feel important. Side note your food will always be right or they handle it. I rarely see a manager and in my opinion these Ladies run this place. Thank you ladies for always making my family feel welcomed. Also my niece is half African American half white. We are a white family and always get stares when she is with us. These ladies never judge and are supper nice to here which we don’t get else where. on 9-3-24 i went to this waffle house with my son & his wife & grandbaby. the food wasn’t to bad.but not great! the tea was terrible and the service sucked. my son paid $75 including tip & added a smores waffle and no other customers was in there but us when he places that order, after that ppl came in, the cook & waitress forgot abt the waffle my son placed we waited an extra 20mins for it . it never came. so i asked abt it . waitress & cook forgotten abt it and it was burnt in the waffle grill . my son didn’t get his money back we were tired of waiting. the service & cook was just lazy & didn’t care they got there money. and was done. she sat down he went outside so i. don’t think i will be back unless it’s a different...
