Jacks Seafood — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

I went to this place and ordered the catfish Bites I paid for my meal with a card because I had no cash on me. When I receive my plate I asked for tartar sauce. The woman told me that it would be a 50 Cent charge. I extended my car to her and she told me that they can’t take 50 Cent off my card. It has to be a five dollar purchase minimum after I’ve already paid for the meal. I just think this is horrible customer service I really think that they should reconsider how they do this and because of this issue my meal was horrible. I don’t understand why anybody would not give complementary tartar sauce with fish she would not budge. She refused to give me the tartar sauce.

I work hard for my money and this just totally destroyed my meal. I should have given it back and asked...

The food was excellent and hot and fresh. You can't beat getting a better plate of hot steaming juicy oysters from Jacks Seafood. Now as for the service talking through a door was aweful😖........the ordering, online and getting a number instead of a name was a great idea. But then to not get any condiments to go with the food, you have to pay $.50 per tarter sauce, ranch dressing and that's some bullcrap. And to top it off it's sitting on the corner of a busy hwy with barely no parking spot. With the money the have been making cause this place have been open for years......it seems as if they would have tried to make improvements to keep their customers happy and safe. I guess they say as long as they are cooking good food that's all...

I phoned in my order at 5:36pm and was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I pulled up at 6pm and was told 5 more minutes. After waiting 10 min they ask what I ordered. I asked for my money back and they beat around the bush with that. Finally I said please give me my money and someone came from the back with my order. I accepted the food. The food was was fresh and delicious but not worth the the time, hassle and unprofessional service I witnessed and experienced while standing out there 30 to 35 minutes. I also heard what other patrons said about the service. Again great food...
