I have been going to King Wok for a long time now, a fantastic Chinese restaurant in Baton Rouge run by Ann and her family. Supporting local businesses is important to me, and King Wok is definitely one of the best spots in town for your Chinese food cravings. The crab Rangoon was a standout dish for me, perfectly crispy with a deliciously savory cream cheese filling. The sweet dipping sauce complemented it perfectly, and I found it also paired well with their egg rolls. For the main course, I tried the general Tso chicken, which was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly fried and coated in a sweet and spicy sauce, served with broccoli. The fried rice was also excellent, a flavorful mix of egg, pork, carrots, and peas. One of my favorite items was the wonton egg drop soup, a comforting bowl filled with huge wontons and crispy fried wonton chips. It's a must-try. I also enjoyed the black bean chicken, cooked in a savory sauce with onion, carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, and baby corn. Their lo mein was a great side dish, too. Their lunch special is such an amazing deal, and I was impressed by how fast they were with preparing the food. I always call ahead to place my order over the phone. I highly recommend King Wok for delicious Chinese food and excellent service.

I decided to try the Mandarin chicken after looking it up online. This was my first disappointing meal here at Kings Wok. The smallest amount of meat in a lunch was fried unlike I was expecting to be naked and cubed. It was prepared in a brown sauce unlike a traditional orange sauce that I was expecting with barely warm fried rice. I should had ordered sesame or bourbon chicken instead!

My go-to place for Singapore Mai fun, which is a dish of chicken, pork and shrimp and vegetables mixed in with thin rice noodles and pan fried in a curry sauce. I've also had their combination fried rice and wonton soup. Food is always delicious, hot and fresh and I appreciate the time estimates on when food will be ready.

Been eating here for a loooong time. Watched the girls grow up from playing under the counter top to taking orders and answering the phones. It is our goto Asian....Funny story, several years ago they must have gone on vaca or something and closed for an extended period of time. The wife and I were panic stricken at the thought of having to find a new inexpensive Asian place that was as good. Fortunately they returned and all went back to normal... The food is consistently good. These are good, hard working people, with a good product. Can't ask for more than that. This restaurant is worth 6 stars, in my opinion.

My stars guide: 1.) run for the hills 2.) do not recommend 3.) recommend with hesitation 4.) recommend 5.) recommend with...

I've been eating at the family-owned King's Wok since I was a kid and they're still one of my favorite American-Chinese restaurants. I've tried several restaurants across the city and only a couple are on par with this place. Admittedly, I haven't tried a huge variety of dishes on their menu, but everything I've had is good so far. My go-to is usually the shrimp with mixed vegetables or shrimp with garlic sauce, but I can attest to their pther garlic sauce dishes, lobster sauce, lo mein, and fried rice all being delicious. Among apps, the chicken teriyaki sticks and egg rolls are probably my favorite. The crab rangoon is okay. Give them a try! I bet you won't be...
