Roul's Deli — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Right away when you enter this small business you have a burger stand feeling. Which stands to reason considering they have these awesome burgers that are juicy and tender. The buns and presentation are damn near perfect. This is not what I came for though. I came for what I have been hearing about on Facebook for over a week. For what I have been reading about in the Google reviews. The cheesesteak egg rolls. enter sigh and stomach growl here when I came up to the counter I was greeted by a lovely cashier and the grill cooks immediately informed me it would be a little bit of a wait because they were prepping for the egg rolls. I will admit I was a little disappointed but was willing to wait anyway because I was ordering them for me and burgers for my family. So I waited at one of their booths and watched sports on their tv. During this time a man who I can only assume is a manager or owner came and verify that I was willing to wait. I said of course and he proceeded to bring me an order of the best onion rings I have had in a long time. We talked and he was glad to see his advertising was paying off. Now the food... it was packaged appropriately and all ready to go. My eggrolls were perfectly displayed with the duck sauce and a side of ranch. I have to be honest though, I didnt need sauce. The flavors together were great. The only thing I can think that would have made them any better would have been a little more cheese. I should have ordered extra cheese lol! The egg rolls were perfectly fried golden brown and cut to where they are very easily managed for eating and not messy or falling out all over the place. All and all I got to say, this is a place I can get down with regularly. I look forward to getting the loaded fries next time! Definite 10 out...

Don't let the picture fool you. I went to this place on Friday, August 18, 2023, let me start with the outside, parking lot is horrific, large holes, dirt parking, trash everywhere, broken bottles, unbroken bottles, mainly nowhere to park, then there's the entrance patio area, spider webs all over above and underneath, haven't been cleaned in look like months or year, walk inside lobby clean (I see this the only part of the establishment that owner/manager/staff/workers care about) employees where do i start, facial hair no beard net, large braids no hair net, this on another employee, female employee long braids no hair net just loose all over, to prepare my hamburger, buns placed on a nake counter, loud talking and laughing over food while preparing it, i ordered no fries but a side salad, opened my box to see no salad dressing, no fork to eat it with, went to counter to ask young for items, she rolled her eyes so hard like I'm bothering her, then asked what dressing i wanted, i told her, she asked Mr. Large braids to get my dressing from the back, he said nope but got it. Now the menu above counter said 5 locations in Baton Rouge, people pick you location out of the four but STAY AWAY FROM THE ONE ON PLANK ROAD from Tony's Seafood store. Horrible from being to...

I ordered through their website from Google search. My order was confirmed through email at 11:41am. I arrived at 12:02pm for pickup and gave my name to the cashier. After seeing multiple people come in, place an order, and receive their food, I realized I had been waiting 30 minutes. I approached the cashier again to ask about my order. She said another 15-20 minutes. I asked for a refund. She said she was going to get her manager. The manager explains that they didn't receive my order which I found weird because the cashier could have said that upon my arrival. The manager said give him 3 minutes to make my order, it took 10 minutes. The cashier drops the bag on the counter with my order in it, and says there you go in a very harsh and nasty tone as if I didn't just spend $43 and waited 44 minutes for my order.
