Southern Chicks Cafe & Daiquiris BR — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

The food was pretty good. The atmosphere was cool. However the service sucks. When we walked i we had four people in front if us. 3 guys had already ordered and one guy was placing his order. As we got to the counter and placed our order we stood for around 10 minutes. They had some chicken in the warming area. Theu staff seemed like they were not sync with each other. Tickets were piled up and everyone was just standing around looking. So we decided to sit down they 3 guys still had not gotten their food. I saw one worker come to the front cou ter and check his cell phone. He then went back and did not change his gloves,and started prepping food. That raised a red flag for me. Another 10 minutes went by, so by the time I got up togo check on the order they were bringing the 3 guys their food and the other guy was at the counter ter asking about his. So the lady said I was about to bring it out. As we sat down to eat the chicken was hot moist and good. Biscuits were soft and buttery. I would strongly recommend hiring more wait staff. OMG! This is arguably, hands down some of the BEST fried chicken! It is seasoned and fried to perfection. I called in an order for pick up shortly before closing and was worried it would be some cold left out too long pieces BUT nope. There was a line of people waiting to order and for their orders. It did take awhile, even with a call in but it was extremely fresh and hot. Well worth the wait. My husband got potatoes and gravy as a side and they must have been good because they were gone before I could ask for a taste 😂. I had the potato salad. It was ok. I’m a Cajun from Lafayette and we do our PS different than the 225. The biscuits are 🔥so make sure to get them. I know I commented on the order not being ready and having to wait but don’t let that worry you. The food was fresh and hot. The employee’s were all very sweet and accommodating. Plus, you can sit back and wait with one of their delicious daiquiri’s! Now how good is that!! Don’t sleep on this chicken and daiquiri’s joint. It is fantastic. Ordered for lunch. Food arrived over an hour late. Not all the food I ordered arrived. Food was open when it arrived. Restaurant refused to provide any update on the status of the order and took the phone off the hook to avoid phone calls asking about the status of our order. I was also unable to report the missing items to the restaurant due to the phone going to a busy tone. Delivery driver told everyone he was going back out to get the rest of the food and he ended up just leaving. Some people ending up not getting any of the food...
