Arrived early to see Black Berry Smoke, bought drinks and saw the seating was limited. Went upstairs to the balcony where there was an open area with a railing. Moving toward an end where there was approx 12 to 14â By the rail empty, There was a reserved table in the middle of the floor behind us. A female approached to tell us that her reserved table was behind us and we had to move so she could see the show, which didnât start for over an hour. My husband apologized told her there was plenty of room and her table view would not be blocked. She chose to call security. The first security person advised us the table was reserved and showed us where we could stand on either end of âherâ viewing area. We thought things were ok. She moved the table close to the balcony rail close enough to hit us in the back when chairs were moved. She chose to go get Security again. The second person explained that the reserved tables were not bought, they were given to friends if the owner. We explained that the first guy had advised us where to be and thatâs where we were. I explained we would leave, We did not wish to be in this situation. He said no just donât touch these people. I explained they were moving their table n chairs against us. I asked Him how much square footage came with a table. He didnât answer but said he wished the first security person had came with him. We were allowed to stand in our little area for the entire show. There is limited seating and all tables had reserved paper on them. I was not given the option of table reserving upon purchase of our tickets. This episode changed our evening, we went there to see a show and have a good time. After this event we did not spend anymore money, we watched the show and left. After reading the reviews it seems the owner is most interested in his years of operation and number of customers served. During an evening like this I would expect to spend $100. I stood up for over 3 hours, saw a great band and only spent $7.00. Next time I will stick with bigger venues where the public can purchase seating or at least space and not have to fight with an entitled âowners friendâ and security that has a lack of communication. Count us as served but...
Read moreThere are two things that kept this from being a 1 star experience. 1. The venue is a decent area to watch a concert. 2. There was a really nice bartender who made the experience less awful.
Came here for a country concert from a low level artist. For starters we were informed by said nice bartender that since this was a concert that all of the prices of drinks were raised and that a CUP OF WATER was $2.50. A cup of water. Not a bottle. A cup. What kind of cheap, sleazy business practice is that.
Second we listened to the opener who was fine. Only to wait nearly an hour for the main act to come on. It was absolutely the most ludicrously long transition at a concert I have ever experienced.
The only redeeming quality about this place is that it is literally a space that can hold a concert. Other than, there is nothing great or special about this place. It is clearly run with zero care for its customers.
Update: I see I have been replied to and instead of addressing the issues I have stated management has taken the route of dodging them and passively blaming the customer for my unpleasant experience. An interesting choice.
First the issue of the water charge for a cup of tap water was addressed by staying that they sell Dasani bottles of water.. Okay that is great and all but I have yet to experience any other bar that does not serve tap water for free or not have a water fountain. It is just common decency. Second it was just conceded that one could be waiting 45 minutes between opener and headliner. Which is in fact a long time to wait between artists. If this response has told me anything it is that I was right to not want to return here. I again leave you the extra star for the building itself and...
Read moreWill NEVER EVER go back!!! I decided to give this place one more chance since a friend of mine was doing a comedy act at. Terrible place with poor communication between employees and terrible service and attitudes. Great place to be talked to by an employee like crap. I went and paid $40 for 4 people to see the John Morgan show, considering that he's a good friend. I was told by front that i had a good seat. I was then seated by a manager. The lights were a little overwhelming for not just my family but others so i spoke to a normal employee and he politely changed the lights. After awhile the manager placed the A/C on, the area around me were all complaining about the A/C and i decided to ask the manager if he could lower the settings of the A/C because people were complaining. The manager rudely asked what the problem was. OBVIOUSLY IT IS COLD CAN YOU DO SOMETHING??? The manager was absolutely rude and said that people were hot, But on my side the MAJORITY of the people were cold. I moved my family to another location to find my name on a piece of paper... Astonished i noticed that these were supposed to be my original seats that the manager who seated me was to ignorant to know about (piss poor communication). Will never go back. Terrible business, terrible managers, terrible communication. Dont expect them to last long, unless they change. They sure as heck don't deserve my business and my word will spread to all people and college students ESPECIALLY around LSU! Would rate...
