Capital Park Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Went to brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday! This was my second time going, so I thought I knew what to expect..but I was wrong...it is now $50 per person..ok cool..the menu has now changed its broad with add on's for added money...and for entry & your food..you get a continental breakfast that consisted of grits, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast & French toast..previously you had a broader choice of options. The plate that came out and was presented to us...was unreal! It seemed as if they were rationing food...and had to be because someone I know came way after us..posted their plate and it was full...Our plates was struggle plates...we had a handful of grits..must be a piece of half of egg..two slices of bacon, a sausage pattie and a half of a half a piece of toast...we didn't even get a whole slice of bread/toast we got half of that...oh & there was no french toast at all...for $50 that's absurd to me...DJ was great, server and hosts were great..atmosphere was good! The food...for $50..no way! I also know its an experience..its supposed to be a vibe and fun...but naw! Also, it was HOTT as pamper piss! I mean it was packed but you may need your air-conditioning serviced to get a charge or something..no way we should be using the menu as fans as sweat poured down everywhere from all over us..we live in Louisiana..its summer..it felt better outside..it was good to hang out with friends..but the food solidified that we will not be back...we drove a good distance for that & was highly disappointed! everyone was still hungry & ...uhh uhh get somebody else to do it...I CAN NOT! Will not...

I went here on a Monday night. It’s their Relaxed Night Vibes that they post on their IG. The atmosphere was airy. Not many people. The DJ had a nice playlist blazing in bar. About 10 people total were there around 10:00pm. Almost everyone was as sitting but the bar. The 6 wings I ordered were tasty and fried nicely.

However, it took almost 20 minutes for me to get my food on a slow night. I added a drink since the bartender kept asking me if I wanted one after serving me my food.

I had a rum punch served in a plastic cup and was charged $9. I thought drinks were the price 2 for 1 as advertised on the flyer?

Interesting. Then had an additional $4.00 tip added that I politely didn’t add to my order on purpose. Overall, I’m not bothered by my experience. However, I’m definitely not eager or excited to ever go...

Great atmosphere however eat before going. There's a great DJ playing music and drinks are flowing but they have to find a way to get food out to customers in a timely fashion. We were seated at 1 pm and some of the table started getting food around 4 where some of us got food closer to 5. Appetizers ran out during the wait time. You pay $40 in advance and can get add-ons however add-ons are just added to the plate not an additional order (shrimp and grits are added to your brunch not an additional order). The wait staff are great and try to be attentive but there's a large crowd so they're busy. I enjoyed myself but if I go again ik to at least eat...
