Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Bay City

I was driving through and went out of my way to go there by nearly 30 minutes… the food was good, not great. I went inside to use the restroom and wanted to get my order to go, but the cashier said he wouldn’t serve me anything and I had to leave 😳🥺💯 it was still 10 minutes until closing but he said I had to go through the drive through (that’s weird right?) I was starving and had to not let myself get upset… I shrugged it off and went to the drive through and got stuck behind someone with a big complicated order and sat there for at least 10-15 minutes… I asked for ranch and got ketchup, no napkins and the bathroom was frightening!! The toilet was leaking all around the base and the floor was soaked and it smelled like urine. You can see it’s been caulked numerous times to no avail and it smells like sewage and urine, damp and moldy. I was trying not to judge bc it was obvi that they can’t get it under control… but it was so gross that even though I was starving and my food was ok, I still couldn’t eat it bc of the plumbing… If the restroom is like that, I can’t imagine what it’s like in the kitchen. It’s too bad too bc I really love my Jack in the crack’o ‘lackin 😂🤙🏼 but the whole experience was just off putting. I hope they can step up their game and improve incase I go through there...

In response to the question from the owner asking how to get 5 stars... Be open when you are supposed to be. I assume Jack-in-the-box must have a really high turnover rate because the one that I live by in Angleton can't seem to keep anyone to save their life. They went through a stint it time where they were "24 hours" yet someone always informed us that they "couldn't take orders at this time" when people tried to go through the drive-thru. At the Bay City location this has occurred twice out of the time we have stopped. I work at Happy Bay Bar and don't get off until early morning. With whataburger and Jack-in-the-box being my only options at that time, it's frustrating to pass up whataburger because I decide I want tacos or churros just to get told that they are unable to process any orders at the time, especially when I feel like they are just blowing me off cause they don't want to work or have to clean anything (the way to used to the angleton location telling me they aren't taking orders) with it only happening a couple times in Bay City, I'm hoping it doesn't become a trend. The resteraunt is run down. Well below jack in the box standards-and I know because I am a patron of one in every state and town I travel to. The owner should have the franchise taken away, as well as being ashamed for the condition it is in. The chairs I was afraid to let my family sit in, because the laminate- when present, created a nasty pinch point when sitting. The staff was going back and forth out the door to the lobby drinking a soda then preparing customers food without changing gloves. The customer service was deplorable. I am not sure if it was frequent customers or employees off duty but loitering and gossip was prevalent and disruptive to my family's experience. I just moved here for employment and my family had just arrived in town. Jack in the box is not in our home state so we always visit the first one we find.
