To be honest, I went into this place with high hopes, and left extremely disappointed. Food was mediocre at best. Had enchiladas, figured you can't go wrong with that. No seasoning and pretty much tasteless. Pretty much unanimous on the food around the table. Girlfriend and her friend had the little 4 margarita drink, was not very good. Seating and overall arrangement of the place is very cluttered, unorganized and congested. Should have probably kept the same set up that Applebee's had. Maybe it'll get better as time goes by, as they just opened, but as of right now, this was a one and done type place. With so many other options of this type of restaurant in town, this should be a much much...

We visited on Saturday from out of town. It was our first visit. Those chips are thick and heavy. And they were our least favorite of the food we had. It's a shame too because the salsa is so good and so was the queso.. but the chips ruined it for us. I saw a plate delivered by our waitress and said I just have that.. it was called El Capitan and it was fried catfish with a Mexican type etoufee on top. My friend got the plate that had enchiladas and a taco that replaced his guacamole. Our food was pretty good. I don't live in that town.. but would never go back due to those chips. PLUS. They add a credit card fee to every ticket. Even if you're paying cash.....

Food was great. If I could double-underline and bold the word "great" I would. But I'm on a phone and my options are limited. The menu is surprisingly vast. It took me more time to decide what to eat than it did to hork it down when it reached the table, piping-hot. I have to assume their heating area is just a big metal slab sitting atop a dragon that is relentlessly unleashing fire upwards at the aforementioned slab. I also have to assume that he demands quite a price for his services, and couple that with a lack of impolite customers around me, I think I know what that price is. It's impolite customers. Damn it was good. Cannot recommend...

Delicious food and attentive service! We wanted to be adventurous and so instead of going to our favorite Mexican restaurant in town, we tried Vallarta Mexican Grill. We were not disappointed. Now it will be hard to choose which place to go. My husband got the Mucho Dinner with cheese enchiladas and enjoyed it very much. I tried something new and got the El Rey plate which was an Anaheim pepper stuffed with fajita beef and rolled into a flour tortilla covered in chili sauce. It was very different and delicious. The service was exceptional and friendly. We were not disappointed and will go back.

The food here is excellent. Hot, fresh, presented well, and everything tastes homemade. Particularly enjoyed the salsa(s). I was pleasantly surprised by the staff; always wiping down tables, sweeping, cleaning, and my waitress was incredibly polite and attentive. The interior design can feel like a hodge podge of modern ideas and stereotypical Mexican decor, not leaning too heavily into either. So the atmosphere might give somebody vertigo, but it's in no way a deal breaker. Bottom line, this place is wonderful. Great food, friendly staff, clean place. I'll definitely be returning.
