Went after the lunch rush. Around 2pm wasnt crowded or very busy. I was seated, and handed a menu. At first glance the place is gorgeous I saw waitresses bustling about. But I sat at the table for 20 mins waiting for someone to acknowledge me and take my drink order, I almost left. After my drink order was taken the service got infinitely better, and quite fast, and well worth the wait. I ordered the gyoza appetizer, the teriyaki salmon bento box, with Miso soup, and a salad. Dressing on salad was a ginger sauce, extremely good if you have a fondness for ginger as I do. The gyoza came as a 6 piece with a dumpling sauce that rivals that of another place I am fond of. Perfectly pan fried and crispy with a lovely meaty center you'd expect from a dumpling. The miso soup was delicious, not too salty, the salad had the flavorful ginger dressing. The bento box came with 6 california rolls, fried rice, 1 spring roll, 1 gyoza, sauteed vegetables topped with a salmon filet on a rich teriyaki sauce. It also had some sliced ginger and wasabi as an flavor bonus for those daring enough to add it to their sushi rolls. All in all, the atmosphere was great, decor was beautiful, and the food was mouthwatering and expertly cooked. While I was highly disappointed with the initial wait time, I will return simply because of the food. Here's to hoping they get the service up to par...
Read moreThe service was the worst we have had in a long time if ever. They were not busy and we did not receive menus after we were seated. First clue, but we were celebrating a birthday so this is where we chose to come. Drinks came and we ordered. She seemed surprised we were ready to order but we had already been there for 30 plus minutes. We asked for more chips. Our order included soup, salad, sushi along with the entrees. Probably 45 minutes later we received the soup and part of the salads. She said be careful soup is really hot. Might ha e been if it had been served on time,, but it was just warm.. We had had a drink spilled. No one ever came to assist. We went to restroom to get towels to clean our table. When soup was delivered we asked for water. Sushi came...still no remaining salad and no drink replacement. After 1 of us got up and went to get the drink ourselves she remembered so she brought drink and the chips that we had asked for over an hour ago. Reminded her about salad. She seemed more interested in boyfriend, sweeping than taking care of her table. She was nice but needed to take care of...
Read moreI tried sushiya for the very first time here, and it did NOT disappoint! I got the lion-kings rolls and they were to die for. I had heard they were a fan favorite among many and I see why. Definitely recommend those. They're grilled hibachi is also delicious as I expected. Love the soups too. The whole place gives off a very calm and collected vibe. So much so that I would just sit in there for the ambience. The soft drinks are actually amazing and they are not as sweet as a regular soda with also not as much sugar as a chain soda brand would have. They're perfect for drinking with your meal. If I could rate this 10 stars I would. Definitely recommend this place in...
