Frescura Vegan Kitchen — Restaurant in Bayamón

Incredible doesn't even begin to describe the astonishing experience I had at Frescura Vegan Kitchen! 🌱 I was left utterly speechless by the extraordinary flavors that unfolded during my visit.

I started with the soup of the day, a broccoli cheddar one, vegan of course, which was on point! I ordered the small one, but it was plenty; it could be shared. Then I had the stuffed Avocado with TuNo, a chickpea dish mimicking tuna, paired with mashed taro, which was a flavorful delight. The vegan sauce on the cold TuNo was perfectly balanced, and the breadfruit tostones (which I ordered separately) were crunchy and fresh. Combining TuNo with the tostones was pure magic, creating an explosion of flavors in my mouth. 🥑🍲 I also tried the Mediterranean salad, which featured authentic falafels; though, I wished for more than three small balls. The salad overall was very tasty, and a really large bowl.

In terms of prices, despite being on the slightly higher than average range, the freshness and quality of the food justified the cost, and the portions were generous, leaving me with enough for leftovers. I love that they provide compostable containers. ♻️💸

The service at Frescura Vegan Kitchen was outstanding. The manager, owner, and staff were attentive and friendly. I appreciated that they give you an estimated wait time; in our case, it was 30 minutes, but my order arrived in less than 15 minutes, yay! Worth noting: they have ample free parking, which was an added bonus. 🚗👍

The well-decorated atmosphere at the restaurant was pleasant, though the air conditioning might be a bit too cool for some. ❄️🌟

In conclusion, Frescura Vegan Kitchen is among the top vegan restaurants in Puerto Rico. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return to explore more of their delectable...

This restaurant was the culinary highlight of our trip in Puerto Rico (service highlight was Omar at Simple Foods in Luquillo!). After a week of trekking the Eastern half of the main island and several days in Vieques, I was so relieved to dine at a fully vegan establishment. No more wondering what I was eating, or thought I was eating, even after trying to confirm with the staff.

I ordered the Panchito Chick’n burger and my husband ordered the dish of the day as recommended by Yamila - a rendition of Puerto Rican ‘pork’ and rice with a side of beans. Delicious and easily the best meal of the past week! Definitely ask for staff recommendations as my husband’s dish was well seasoned and inspiring. The Fit Sunrise and Orange Herbal drinks were both amazing (not just fruity but underlying spices which were spectacular).

I also appreciated the English menu they kept behind the counter, the reusable utensils and compostable straws and the normal operating hours that so many other vegan establishments on the islands lacked. Great music that kept a calming atmosphere despite the odd location across from an auto shop.

Just when we were on our last day in PR and feeling somewhat disappointed all around with most of our meals the past week, this was well worth the extra 30 minutes west of the airport for our last meal.

A huge thanks to the Frescura staff! I could’ve eaten here every day...

The “asopa’o” blew my mind away! 🥣🇵🇷 This was my third time visiting Frescura Vegan Kitchen and this time I brought my mom and dad with me. My dad ordered the plate of the day, which was asian orange-style meat with rice, salad and fries. When he first got the plate of food he said “this is a lot for just me” but this old man ended up finishing the whole meal. My mom ordered the Fruity Green Iced Tea which she loved. And I got the Asopa’o with grain salad. The grain salad was delicious and I really enjoyed the chips they came with. But the Asopa’o was the ultimate reward! The Asopa’o tasted like it had shrimp inside, just like I remember my grandma’s Asopa’o to taste. I was saying “wow” after every single bite. This is the plate I can come back to eat over and over again at Frescura Vegan Kitchen because I have yet to find another restaurant offering this Puerto Rican dish, and with such original seafood flavors. During our visit we were also approached by a staff member to ask if everything was ok. My experience was a 10 out of 10. I have been blown away. Thank you Frescura, and see you all again...
