KP Sarelli's — Restaurant in Bayonne

Came here with my parents. I really like this place! So warm and cozy inside. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night, we didn’t have a reservation but there was a table available and we also got parking on the street outside. Next time I’m going to call for a reservation!

Waiter was super nice and funny. They have an option for half pitcher of sangria for only $14! It lasted for 5 glasses of sangria! The sangria was very sweet but I liked it.

Bread is given for the table. My chicken parm was good, it wasn’t a huge portion though. And the tomato sauce was a bit too spicy for me. The chicken was thin, juicy and tender. My mom’s chicken wasn’t as tender it and it was more chewy, it was chunks of chicken, It was the pollo scarpariello. My dad got the halibut and my husband got the sole, the sole was my fav dish! It was so soft and the flavor was light and it tasted very good. Desserts were affordable and tasty. Nothing spectacular but still very good.

Excellent traditional Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, made with care, packed with flavor and generous portions and prices were reasonable. Service was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere had some charm, nice bar area. Decent parking available on the street. Meals I tried - Chicken Marsala was one of the best I’ve ever had and I try them everywhere. Sauce had so much flavor, nice thickness, lots of mushrooms and nice big thick tender chicken breasts. Also tried another pasta dish with ground sausage and cream sauce with sun dried tomatoes- also very good and unique dish. Also tried the risotto, not the best I’ve had but tasty, it had a brownish kind of sausage but was huge (impossible to eat in one sitting) and came with 4 fresh nicely grilled jumbo shrimp. Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Upon receiving our meals, we found hair in my fiancée's food. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they took the dish back, only to return with what appeared to be the same dish, still with hair in it, and even more this time! This level of carelessness is unacceptable. Additionally, the food was cold and obviously microwaved, which is far from the quality we expected.Despite our dissatisfaction, we tried to eat what we could since we were there to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, the poor quality of the food and the unsanitary conditions overshadowed our celebration. The entire experience left us feeling deeply disappointed and frustrated. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant if they paid me. I strongly advise others to steer clear if they value cleanliness...
