Food was great, buffet was great but not at all happy with our situation today...had reserved a room for brunch after our granddaughter's baptism...had originally been told we could have the room for an hour and a half...got there 15 minutes late and told the hostess that we would just use a table in the primavera room and she replied that she had switched things up and we would have no time limit...just as we were serving cake, we were informed we had to be out in 15 minutes...one waitress threw a whole piece of cake away as she was trying to clean up while we were still eating...mind you this was the only time anyone had picked up plates the entire time we were there!! Out of town guests were appalled and I was embarrassed...I like to support local businesses but wow, the short drive to Lincoln for better service is worth it...yes, we've had wonderful get togethers at Val's in Lincoln !!...I did learn one thing today...never tip before you leave because they didn't deserve that 12 bucks I left for the...

The food was just ok. I stopped in alone at 1215p on a Friday and had dine in lunch buffet. There was salad, pasta, pizza, grilled chicken, mashed potato, gravy, desert and some other food stuffs. The food was ok at best. I was there for 30 minutes and they never put any new fresh hot pizza out and the buffet was mostly empty of pizza the entire time. I had plenty to eat but this is a pizza restaurant first and foremost. The price seemed a little high and the food was scarce, and there were a decent number of customers. Ordered and paid online for pickup. They tried to charge my daughter again when she picked up the order. The macaroni salad was not what they normally serve, it was the kind you get in a deli container for way less than the $7/pint that I paid. (That said, I went there specifically to get the Valentino macaroni salad) I ordered thin crust, did not get that, but otherwise the pizza was good. The garlic bread was butter/cheese on a hamburger bun. The lasagna was good. My advice, skip...
