I went to have lunch there with my sister yesterday and we were in one of the first booths in the restaurant. One young waiter came to take our order. We ordered sweet tea and water. Then he came back a few moments later to take our order. We ordered cheese quesadillas and a Menudo.Everything was fine until it was brought to my attention that these ladies were asking the waiter a question.I didn't think nothing of it until I noticed three ladies in a huddle away from their table across from where they were sitting and then to my surprise they had a baby on the table using the table as a changing table.I was like OMG! This can't be happening. I looked around to see where the waiter went and I seen him behind the bar so I walked over to complain.I asked for the manager and the waiter placed his hand on the shoulder of the man that was sitting at the bar next to him.I asked the waiter if he gave permission to those ladies to change the baby out in the open like that instead of using the restroom like everybody else and he responded "yes".I was fuming by this time just to hear that.I asked him why, he said because they didn't have a changing table in the women's restroom .Then I told him that it was not my problem and that they needed to fix it .Then I told the manager that it was unsanitary for customers and that I couldn't even eat my food comfortably knowing that they were changing the baby .I then told the manager that I wanted my check and that I was leaving. He hung his head low with embarrassment and didn't say anything.I went up to the counter to pay and he said you don't have to pay anything. He did not know how else to react. His actions proved that given the circumstances of the attempt to please the caucasian ladies have always held a higher in services versus Hispanic customers. The restroom has counter space not a changing table but counter space enough to place a baby on it to change if needed or she could of excused herself to her vehicle. AFTER she was done changing the baby she held the dirty diaper in her hand and walked by like if we weren't there. NO CONSIDERATION FOR OTHER CUSTOMERS.WITH THIS BEING SAID I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN THAT UNSANITARY RESTAURANT. I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT...
Read moreSo my sis and I went to eat Mexican food at this place tonight. It's off the freeway, down the road from Frankie's. The place we wanted to go was closed today. Anyway, it was a little strange. There was only one other car in the parking lot (besides the workers parked in the very back). There was only one family in there besides us, who left shortly after we arrived. Overall, the food wasn't bad. The cheese dip, Verde sauce, and guacamole were awful/bland, but the dinner was pretty good. They were very friendly and accommodating. It was very strange no one was there. As we are leaving (you have to go around the back of the building to exit) the back looks like a horror flick. My sister was reading the reviews while we were eating (somehow this place got 4.2 stars) and several people mentioned no one else being there when they were. We get back to my parent's house and when we told them where we went, they also said that whenever they drive by the parking lot is always empty. My sister and I about died laughing. Honestly, they are nice people, but I have no clue how they stay in business. With all the amazing and vast Mexican food options around here, I can safely say I won't...
Read moreWe started with a warm red salsa... the flavor is quite unique and tasty. I asked for another with a bit more "kick" and was a green salsa. Not a lot more picante than the first but still a good taste. Our waiter was extremely helpful with the menu and gave me a "heads up" on one of favorites that he said they'll have around the holidays. My wife ordered Pollo Del Mar (grilled chicken with shrimp and a mushroom sauce)... judging by the fact that I didn't hear from her while she ate, it was delicious. I ordered Barbacoa Plate and it was the very best barbacoa I can remember eating!! Their guacamole was fantastic and I had to guard mine from my wife's fork which was constantly invading my plate. My wife also had a Patron Margarita which must have agreed with as I had to give her a hand in getting to the car. We are new to the area and we glad we found this after so many duds in...
