We stopped at this Chili's in Beumont instead of the one in Silsbee (the one we normally go to) because it was close to the movie theater. We arrived about half an hour before close. They didn't act all crazy because we were so late coming in like some places do. However, as we got seated the waiter, Corey, asked what we would like. I ordered 3 alcoholic drinks, 1 for me, 1for my friend, and 1 for my husband. He asked for our id. No problem, my husband had forgotten his so he refused to serve him the drink. No big deal. That was on my husband. Then he came by and asked if we wanted any appetizers. My friend said chips and dip and I began to tell him I wanted southwest egg rolls and he literally walked away while I was mid sentence. He went to the back, then came out, went to another table took their drink order, then went and got those drinks, brought them back out to them, then returned to our table and asked if we were ready to order. I said we were trying to order appetizers but you just completely ignored us after asking and walked off. He said. Oh sorry. Got the appetizer order and dissapeared again. We waited a bit before he came back, then when we ordered he went off again. In the time we waited for our food, he never came back to refill my other friends empty drink. Even when he brought the food, he still did not refill the glass. Half our table was missing side items. My husband's boss burger (which he gets everytime we go to Silsbee) looked like some of the meat had been chewed up and then slopped on a bun. Not to mention his whole meal was cold. We eat at Chili's, this is not the first time ordering this burger. We know what it should look like. It did not look appealing at all. I had ordered salmon with no citrus. I received a chunk of dried salmon, that smelled extremely fishy. I have never gotten salmon from any restaurant that had that strong of an odor. Finally, he brought out one of the missing side of fries and I told him that my husband's burger was cold. He took it back to the back, and I'm not sure how they went about heating it up, but they brought the exact same cold food, freshly heated, poorly, and set it before my husband, minus his fries.. he took 2 bites and was like nope. This is not right. So we asked for boxes. We packed up our uneaten food, my friend mentioned that she still had not received her other side and the waiter went into the kitchen and brought out a small tray of fries and said better late than never. Yet he still had not brought my husband's fries. This was absolutely the worst experience at a Chili's I have ever had. Needless to say, the food was so off that we spent 106 dollars on food that we fed to the dogs when we got home because it was nothing worth eating ourselves. I will not eat at this...
Read moreThere’s no excuse for poor service when you have 4 tables of customers in the entire restaurant and 3 of those tables are in the bar area.
I came in and waited at the host booth for 5 minutes before I was acknowledged. I was in clear view of the bar where two team members could’ve casually called out “someone will be with you shortly.” To find out one of those team members was actually doubling as a host makes the situation worse in my eyes. It’s understandable for you to be busy on another task, but it would’ve been nothing for you to acknowledge me. When he did finally come over, he didn’t bother to acknowledge the fact that I waited that extra time.
Finally at my table, I waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to actually take my order. I’m not sure if there was a shift change going on or if next shift team members were just not in place, but that’s unacceptable and avoidable with proper staffing or just better overall guest service practices.
I have to admit I was about to get up and leave just as Shelly walked over. I did find it somewhat odd that the team member who sat me waited a table next to me, but didn’t wait mine. Food came out fresh, so that’s a plus. I found it interesting that Shelly stressed I leave a “good” survey response although I’m sure she could tell by my demeanor that I wasn’t pleased with the overall experience. I don’t write “fluff” feedback. The purpose of feedback is to identify areas of opportunity and emphasize areas of excellence. Providing a quality experience would alleviate the need to make that point. But EVERY team member has to be committed to...
Read moreFirst time to Chilis last night..met some friends who frequent here. Our waitress was super sweet & took the time to make sure we were all happy. The food was delicious & fresh. Atmosphere was ok..no complaints until it was time to pay. So let me say that 10minutes after I got there..all of us were told that the table next to us (who just left) had paid our bill which was $10 less than theirs & their bill was put on us because of some glitch with the digital table screens. Um..Ok?..don’t get that bcuz we basically just got there but not a big deal right?..oh nooooo it was definitely a big deal. Our table had two separate bills..3 ppl on 1, 2 ppl on another. The waitress & the manager could NOT get our bills straight. They brought us incorrect way higher bills so many times I lost count. It took them 30+ minutes to FINALLY get it straight. My friend was so mad that she was willing to just pay whatever was on the tickets regardless of them being higher than they should. It was crazy! Our waitress got busy so the manager took it over..she was really weird, acting strange, talking to herself at the register & I was concerned that she was on something. She was rude at times too with no apologies like it was our fault. I was surprised that she was in charge tbh. It definitely put a kink in our night. Will think twice about...
