Cornerstone BBQ — Restaurant in Beaumont

We ordered the 'Trinity combo'. Overall delicious & plenty of food for 2 people! The brisket was tender with a good flavor, the pork ribs fell of the bone & the sausage was very good flavor with a spicy kick. For our 2 sides we chose the potato salad, enjoyed it with the kick of mustard in it, it was different than the usual potato salad at restaurants. We also had their fire roasted corn salad, also good. The young man taking orders at the counter was so friendly & helpful. He came outside at one point to ask each table if he could get them anything else. He also changed out the big trash can out there cause it was overflowing. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was cause of the seating setup. There are two 2-seater small tables by the street outside & there is an outside patio at the back of the building. It's a basic setup, but there are tooooo many flies unfortunately. Would be nice if the outside setup was better with a condiment station for easier access to more napkins, bbq sauce, plastic utensils etc. All that stuff is inside & you have to walk from the back around to the front of the building by the street to get anything else you need inside. They can get pretty busy so that can take a while to get more things inside. We will be back for the food, but probably will have it to...

Never again! I've honestly never been more disappointed in the lack of flavor in my meal. Especially because the food is so overpriced, one would hope to have a flavorful meal at the least. Or maybe one of the side dishes was good, this was NOT the case! I can't believe they're not tasting their own food. I've had better hospital food to be honest! I was expecting mediocre at the least considering their reviews and it bei g so overpriced. I was so wrong. I wanted to say something positive so I'll give the tri-tip a better score than the brisket. The tri-tip was tender and smokey, decent. The brisket was tough, way too much vinegar in the recipe, and half fat. The mac-n-cheese was terrible lacking any flavor and had a "stale refrigerator" aftertaste. The noodles were definitely overcooked almost mushy and not holding shape. The coleslaw was fine but could've been so much better! Oh Wowwwwww that's place is sooooo fire! My GOD of mercy! I was looking for a place for a quick bite before work and found this restaurant on Google. From the beautiful and professional waitress/cashier up front to the amazingly talented cook in the back, this place was one of the most standout BBQ joints in California and will give Phil's BBQ a run for their money! I ordered something simple, a routine breakfast burrito...that was anything but routine! It was laced with succulent flavor throughout with the meat not just put on one end! I can tell that the ingredients were marinated expertly and the burrito was grilled with love! Yes, the wait was a little longer than I expected, but the taste of the food more than made up for it!
