Went in not really knowing what I wanted. After talking with the owners Millet and her husband Al, I decided to get the ginger pork belly for myself and the tofu vegetable vermicelli for my wife. While Millet was in the back cooking our order I spoke with her husband, come to find out he's retired Navy. Nice to know when you come here you're supporting locals and a veteran. Now let's get to the food. First of all pork is my least favorite meat but they recommended the ginger pork belly and I'm glad they did, it was phenomenal. My wife loved her tofu vegetable vermicelli and that's saying something because she has not had much of an appetite for a few days for health reasons and she was not hungry when I came home with it and the only reason she put the fork down was to breathe. The prices and the portions are good. Both of our plates are good for 2 meals. I highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back to try the Eggplant omelet and...
Read moreFresh made to order Filipino food in Beaumont. Craving Filipino food, I decided to stop by Millets on my way back from Palm Springs. This is not a point point establishment. If you plan on ordering take out, I do recommend placing your order at least 45 min prior to your pick up time. Luckily I read the reviews and did that. I ordered the palabok, daing, dinauguan, sinagang, lechon kawali and chicken lumpia. All dishes were fresh and perfectly cooked. The standouts for me were the lechon kawali and palabok ( if ordering palabok ask for extra fried garlic and chicharron). The dinauguan was good, however I felt it was lacking vinegar and garlic. Once I added datu pati and some toasted garlic- it was easily a 10/10. The chicken lumpia was a little bland but maybe that was my fault for preserving the chicken version. Beef and pork lumpia are always tastier.
Service is very hospitable and pleasant. The owner is a character and really makes this...
Read moreThe food is delicious and vibe in this restaurant is very welcoming. I felt like I went to my uncle and aunties house and had a great home cooked meal. The family running this restaurant was very friendly and seemed to have a nice connection and conversation with some of their usual patrons. We don’t live in the area and were passing though after visiting Palm Springs. It was our best meal we had all spring break. We had Tocilog, Pork Sinigang, Pancit with pork belly, chicken fried rice, mangomansi to drink and halo halo for desert. All of the dishes were delicious, well made, and comforting. I wish we had more restaurants like this where we live. Thank you...
