Absolutely love this place! I’ve been out of town for a while and couldn’t wait to get some tacos. I normally don’t mind a small fee for something that I want. But when I checked on the law for debit card use versus cash fees for food, it is BANNED for these type of fees in Texas. Please have you’re management check on this. And this is only for Credit Card Purchases, if it weren’t band. Please see what I found online:
Businesses are now allowed to charge checkout fees to customers who use Visa and MasterCard credit cards (NOT debit cards!), and may continue to surcharge Discover and American Express, who were not involved in the recent settlement. There are limits on what merchants can charge and conditions that merchants must meet in order to charge checkout fees — the next part of this article will explore these in depth.
States Where Surcharging is Banned If your business operates in any of the 10 states (CO, CT, FL, KS, ME, MA, NY*, OK, TX) whose state laws prohibit surcharging, you may not charge checkout fees in that state. However, if you do business in multiple states, you may still surcharge credit card transactions in those states where the practice...
Read moreI am very pregnant, and craved these tacos badly for a week. To the point of tears. I commented and messaged on fb with no reply. I called asking to see if they still had their taco deal at the first of the month, and was advised that for that if have to keep checking on fb to see what deals are offered, however they did have a 20 tacos for $25.00 deal. So on my birthday, September 2nd, my sister and brother in law drove to tacos la bamba for the deal. They were told the $25 deal was on that Tuesday only, which had never been expressed to me. I was on the phone with my sister, distraught, because I couldn't get the number of tacos for the deal and would have to pay full price, which I didn't have. Whoever was at the counter told her when she knew it was my birthday that they would honor the deal because she just had a birthday herself.
So thank you Tacos La Bamba, because those tacos gave me life. I am 27 weeks pregnant, and 37 years old. The tacos had me crying like a baby for them, and no other tacos around me or otherwise would do. It had to be AL pastor, 20 tacos, with the delicious green sauce. Thank you so much because I've been...

Tacos La Bamba is an absolute treasure tucked away on the corner of Calder and 4th Street. Its unassuming storefront is easy to miss, but trust me—it's worth seeking out.
I was introduced by co-workers and I'm so grateful I was! The woman at the counter was wonderfully friendly; when I mentioned it was my first time, she warmly told me I'd been missing out. And she was completely right.
As a barbacoa lover, I had to try it. I got it on both flour and corn tortillas, and it was incredibly flavorful and tender. I also made sure to sample their array of sauces. They have a great range from a tangy green salsa to a spicy red one, which ended up being my favorite.
This first visit was fantastic, and I'm already looking forward to returning to work my way through the rest of their menu....
