Haven't been here three years due to my last bad experience. Thought I'd give them another try to see if it had improved. Ordered a quarter pound "colossal" burger with extra onions.
I hadn't eaten since breakfast and was hungry at about 4:30, so you know when you go to a fast food place and you only order a burger, and they hand you the sack through your window and it feels almost like they forgot to put the food in it? This is how the colossal burger felt. I know there was something in the bag, it just didn't feel very "colossal".
In fact, this was the least "colossal" or similarly advertised big burger I've ever had in my life, and I'm getting pretty good at guessing the serving weight of foods as I generally weigh foods or look up serving sizes if I feel something is not as advertised, so I would guess the burger I was handed weighed between 6 - 7 oz. The actual sandwich appeared to be about an inch and a quarter from top to bottom of bun, looked nothing like the photo on the menu board, and it included lettuce, tomato, burger patty, normal amount of red onion, and bun. By comparison, an Angus Burger w/extra onions at Carl's Jr. weighs 12 oz, a BK Whopper w/extra onions weighs 10.2 oz.
The burger tasted fine, but for $8, I would have rather had the 2 for $6 Double Whopper Jr w/cheese at Burger King (14.1oz of food) - so basically twice the food at 3/4 the price for food that would taste pretty much the same. And at BK, you can add extra lettuce, onion and pickles for no added charge making each double Whopper Jr. about 8 oz each. No more chances for you, next!
3 years earlier: I ordered 2 cherryrific shakes and one strawberry shake. 3 different people tried the cherry shakes. They not only had absolutely no cherry flavor, but they had no flavor of any kind whatsoever. Didn't taste like vanilla didn't taste like cherry in any way, tasted like thick cream, very unappealing. The strawberry shake did have a strawberry flavor, but the consistency of the shake was like it had already been sitting out for 20 minutes and just tasted like a cup of melted ice cream. Will not...

Read moreBurgerville has good burgers but their prices are ridiculously expensive! Just a burger alone averages $7-$8. Make it a basket and that's another $3.60. The fries and drink are small so the value in the meal is not a good deal (like you can expect from other fast food places). And they also push the idea to "tip" them with signs at the windows asking for them! I don't know any other FF place that asks for tips! Besides the typical hamburger meal prices, their drink prices are also way too expensive! We ordered a large chocolate milkshake and that was $5.39! And when we got it, it looked like a small. When I said I ordered a large they said that was their large! So, basically, Burgerville prices have gone up substantially while their sizes of food and drinks have gotten smaller for everything! So, if you don't mind paying around $25 plus for two people to get a meal, then by all means, eat at Burgerville. But, if you'd rather save some money and order 2 meals at a comparable FF place, then put that $10 you'd save in your gas tank! That's a much better deal if you ask me! Carl's Junior always has a good deal there, plus you're getting a large size of their fries and drinks if you pay $.50 more! We'll avoid Burgerville from now on and put our saved money into other things, like gas or food at the...
