Hate to leave this review since my first experience here was great. But this time around left me with unsatisfactory results.

My order was for a steak and shrimp. I was charged $23.99, almost twice as much as my partners purchased for her burrito. I thought it was weird but shrugged it off, assuming it was the extra meat charge. It's 2025, so wouldn't be shocked.

But then our food came out, and I got what you see in the photo. Confused, I went back to the counter to say that my order was wrong, and that I just wanted the burrito. I was told THIS was a burrito and the tortillas were packed in.

At this point I should have argued that I didn't want a make your own burrito kit. But fine, whatever. The food here has been tasty enough for the extra effort, so I took it home. That's when I discovered I didn't even get a burrito tortilla, but instead, street tacos. Then there's the steak, which are two huge slabs of rubbery flank. What was I supposed to do with this?! By the time I'd had properly cut this all up, my food would have been cold. So I just had plain, unseasoned steak with my shrimp tacos.

The more I stew on the fact I was told to my face that this order is what I asked for, the more I wish I had just gone down to Taco...

We live in the area and were excited to try a new Mexican restaurant nearby. The food was decent but we were concerned about a couple things. One of our friends ordered a breakfast burrito with ham, which clearly says on the menu that it's $9.99. When we went to pay, the waitress was adamant that the price was $12.99. When my husband showed her the price on the menu, she said "he" said it was $12.99 and she had to follow that. It's not her fault so we paid that price. Then we paid $4 a piece for water. Yes, it was bottled, however no one asked us if our table of six wanted water so we assumed that we had to purchase the bottled water that was with the other beverages in the cooler. There were no prices marked on the cooler and since they take payment after the meal we felt completely blind sighted. There may have been a simple miscommunication on whether or not water is offered at the table, so just make sure if you want water to ask for a pitcher or something when you order.

Overall the food was good, but there are many options for incredible Mexican food in the area that don't feel like they're trying to nickel...

This was my first experience at this restaurant. I ordered some thing to go. I ordered the carne asada. I get home open up my order and was in complete shock. kearny Asada. It looked like brown cardboard. Paper thin, DRY over cooked salty. My first bite and spit it out. Ugh gross. I literally told the lady on the phone twice medium rare, but I was expecting to actually have steak not cardboard. this is saddening and disheartening as I wasted my money and threw out my food and made soup for dinner. they lost a customer I feel if you wanna keep customers you need to do them right and if you’re going to charge high prices, have a good quality food the best food I’ve had recently as in food trucks and I think that’s just where I’m going to keep it to the food truck if it is delicious and amazing as Mexican food is my favorite. I give credit where credit is due, absolutely, and the...

I hit every joint on my journey here. Plaid pantry for drinks at home and car snacks. Pizza Hut for some pizza we don’t get back home and then my wife ended up having to feed our 2 week old son in the car. I popped into here to have a drink while we waited, mainly because her parents live close and I’ve always wanted to check it out. I ordered a margarita. The super sweet lady at the counter made my drink, fresh squeezing the juices for it. It’s perfect. It hits the spot. Watching them work, pumping out the food they do, it looks absolutely amazing. The freshness of the guacamole is right there with what I have in Mexico every year I go. The food looks great too. I look forward to next time I make it up here to visit my in-laws to grab a bite to eat from here.

It wasn’t an awful burrito but it certainly wasn’t a good one. the place looked nice, service was great, and the staff were friendly. The burrito (mexican $12.99) looked great! but was 95% stuffed with rice and almost no meat. of course this made it feel like a large rice burrito! - meh. The ingredients did taste fresh which is good but didn’t overcome the lack of enjoyment from the strange rice burrito I was eating. I’m a big believer in chefs tasting their cooking and what’s on the menu. I think if they did they would agree my Mexican burrito was at best meh. Bottom line : It’s not difficult to make a good burrito, eat what you cook and adjust the proportions- I don’t think I will come here again.
