I went here regularly for a while and my only complaint was that their beer was not very good.
Things started changing. Employee turnover rocketed, and it seemed there was a new person every two to four weeks. The majority of new employees were terrible or with a complete lack of interest in their job.
On New Year’s Day they charged me $100 for their mug club, which I was not a part of. I went in to ask for my money back, and an owner told me he didn’t know who I was, so no. Luckily there was an employee present, a good one, and he took care of it. It turned out that they wrote down people’s credit card information on a sheet of paper, and that’s why they were able to “charge” me. I used quotes since that course of actions is clearly organized theft.
Another time an employee came out to grab pint glasses. They weren’t empty, so he tossed beer toward the parking lot without looking, and it went all over a patron. The patron was flabbergasted. The employee provided a minimal apology, if it even was an apology.
If they have improved, great, but after credit card theft and tossing beer on patrons, amongst a few other things, I’m done.
edit: “Why don't you come and check out Uptown now and see if it is more aligned with what you expect in a fun taphouse.”
If a place is in a state of such disgusting disorder I see no reason to return, or possibly to ever go...
Read moreOnly went a few times. Beer selection is fair, not amazing like so many people think. Small place. Good rotating tap selection. A few of their beers and the rest are guest taps.
First few trips were different younger men working there. Service was fine, provided samples, answered questions, helped customers, my glass was never empty long.
I went in recently and a younger lady wearing a Green Bay Packers jersey was working. At first she was attentive, gave samples, poured me one beer, and then pretty much ignored me.
Multiple waves of customers came in, she talked to them, poured samples, sold beer, never even look at me again. I didn't exist. There was nobody else at the bar except myself.
By now my temperature was rising. I shouldn't have to ask for help when sitting at the bar. She had no problem serving many other people driving up and walking in.
After about 20 minutes I gave up. By now both my empty water and beer glasses were pushed forward. She finally asked if I wanted another beer. How about not making me wait? There were breaks in customers coming in and she could have helped me. I paid the tab and left.
I wrote a complaint to the owners a few weeks ago. No...
Read moreGreat beer selection but as far as “kid friendly” they are only allowed on the patio. So good luck during a heat wave or winter. They claim OLCC but they have a hand written sign below so it’s definitely their stipulation. Again, great beer selection but if you have kids be prepared to sit outside.
