I have consigned and purchased with Consignment NW. Always a great experience in the past. I'm in the midst of a stressful/brutal move to Beaverton to help care for family. Consignment NW had a sectional that would have been perfect. Unfortunately, I cannot take delivery for 3 weeks. I communicated via email, a call (during which I was transferred to voice mail to see if delayed delivery could be allowed). I told the lady with whom I spoke, that I wanted to pay for it "now." She asked me to leave the VM with the person who could authorize a delayed delivery (which I did). There was a misunderstanding and I didn't receive a response from my requests to purchase. A day later, I saw that the sofa had sold and was quite disappointed. I had been awaiting a reply. I was told they normally can't hold an item that long, but was awaiting confirmation either way. I greatly appreciated receiving a personal call, apologizing for the lack of...
Read moreThree strikes and your out! I have tried to make a purchase in the jewelry department in this store three times. The first time they were busy and I was told to come back. Fair enough, I walked around for 30 minutes then came back. No service. The second time the sales person was dealing with a consignee and rudely told me to come back---Still busy. The third and final time I tried there was another consignee covering the showcase that I wanted to see. I ask her if she could move down a bit so I could see that showcase. The sales person once again told me she was busy and shooed me away like a pesky fly. Again I returned in about 30 minutes and was ignored. If I were a cosigner I would not be happy to see customers turned away. I had planned on buying an expensive birthday gift. If you must shop here do so on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday when the salesperson is not working. Everyone else in the...
Read moreConsignment Northwest was the right choice for me to sell my mom's beautiful ring of diamonds set in yellow gold. After approaching a few other jewelers and diamond/gold buyers and being told that I might get, at the most, $3000 for it —although most said maybe $800 and it would be for the gold — (last appraised at $23,000) one particular jeweler suggested that I bring it to Consignment Northwest. I drove straight over and met Cher in the jewelry department. She took time with me to assess the ring and explain how Consignment Northwest works. It took just a couple of months to sell and we did not even have to lower the price at all. My share was more than $8,000. Imagine my surprise when just after Christmas I received a check in the mail! And I didn't have to do any of the selling. I highly recommend Consignment Northwest for selling...
