Gongaii Games — Local services in Beaverton

Updated to 4 stars - It seems as though they have added back a portion of the games they took out, I noticed one or two games that were taken away, returned to the corner.

They seem to be adding more and more games by the week. So very grateful and can safely say they have my business!

This was a gleaming 5-star review but unfortunately, I can no longer endorse them as thoroughly.

When I first discovered this place I was blown away.

I immediately gathered my friend group to bring them THE SAME DAY to play their outstanding corner of demo games available. It was a true TREASURE TROVE of amazing games that we could've only dreamed about playing before buying! (See photo below)

Unfortunately, since the new store opened they took AT LEAST half of the games to Forest Grove over 30 minutes away.

When I asked if they were going to replace any they told us they weren't going to. 🤷

This was going to be our place too!

-We had a weekly game night at Gongaii -We were planning on starting meetups there to make new friends Plus, I was going to bring my special needs clients here to try the variety of games that would've been accessible to them.

Let me state for the record that I don't normally do online reviews, but I felt the need to do it here. As a person who currently trains people for customer service for a living, I have to give kudos and credit where it is due.

I have done a lot of business with this company via eBay many times over the last year or so, and every transaction has been stellar. Me and a friend also had the opportunity to visit their physical location while I have been in town, and I can't stress enough how blown away I was! Such a great selection, fair and reasonable prices and one of the friendliest and most helpful staffs I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The owners themselves were incredibly gracious and welcoming and took the time to answer all of our questions and stood well after their closing time to make sure we were happy. I highly recommend you visit as I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It's great to see a small business that has the right idea and is on the right path - they've certainly gained a fan and loyal customer in me, my friends and my family.

Ordered a product that was listed in stock at this location for pickup. Website showed that orders placed this way would be available in roughly 24 hours. Two days later I contact the store and they don't have it set aside/in the back for me, and tell me that they will call me when it comes it (it should have been in store already). Almost a week goes by and I am told each time I reach out that they will contact me when the product arrives (they have two stores) and that I shouldn't get my hopes up about it being available. I had already paid over $100 for the booster box of Flesh and Blood I had ordered, and was fairly upset. So I contacted their other store, which did have the box, but had received no communication from their Beaverton store to send it over for me to pick up. I ended up having to drive almost 40 minutes to their other location in Forest Grove to pick up my order.

This on top of the generally flippant service that I have experienced at this store really has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I will be avoiding this store...
