Updated review: I have had to change my review based on my experience the last two times I've ordered. This has been my regular spot for 3 years now and im really disappointed in the food quality lately. Both myself and my bf are up at 4am, vomiting from the nasty food we ate from here earlier. I got arroz con pollo, ordered it from here probably 100 times in the past. The chicken today was gristly and had a horrible texture, rice and cheese was good but maybe 3 bites of decent chicken. Either that chicken was bad or they need to reevaluate how it is cooked. My bf got chorizo tacos, same thing he always orders but maybe an hour after dinner his stomach began hurting. The chips tasted burnt or overcooked, the salsa is always SO GOOD here but today it was just tomato water, saw nor tasted any onions in the salsa. No spice, no flavor of anything but tomato. The beans and rice were good, but im really mad to have spent $35 on dinner and it feels like wasted money. I appreciate the years of good food and service before tonight but I cant return to a place that made us sick and spend $30 just to hope the food improved. Too many other choices in the city. Unfortunate.

Old review: They were not busy at all on a Saturday night, so the atmosphere was quiet and inviting. Chips and salsa came out quickly, as did drinks. The food came out pretty fast also and it was DELICIOUS. I mean, I have gone to probably 15 different Mexican restaurants in the Indianapolis area and this place beats them all. This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant near my house. It has been over a year, and I should've done this review then, but here I am. It was one of the most horrible experiences that I have ever had at a restaurant and here is why. I was a couple of bites into my food, when I realized I had chomped down on something metal. When I pulled it out of my mouth, it was a bent piece of metal about 2.5 inches in length. When I let the server know that this foreign object was in my food, she never apologized and just said "Oh, yeah, that is from the dish brush." I was with a date, who was so repulsed, that he did not eat his food either. They still brought us a check, charging us for both meals (both of which had 2-3 bites out of them) and refusing to take off either meal from the bill. The food was disgusting and I couldn’t finish my food. I had the fajitas nachos with steak and the steak looked like dog food and was extremely chewy. I’m not that hard of a critic usually when it comes to food but this was just gross. My friend didn’t like her meal either. She had nachos with beef. She was able to fight her way through the meal but I couldn’t. I told the waiter that I didn’t like the meal and was unable to finish it and he ignored me. I then went to the front to pay and told the guy there about my dissatisfaction (I was very nice about it btw) and he was just like “well thats the meat that we use.” Well yall need to invest in some other meat or another chef because that was gross.
