Christine's Coffee, LLC — Restaurant in Bel-Nor

So I went to this coffee shop on Saturday the 12th with my niece and sister. I ordered an ice latte with almond milk and I got a hot latte with almond milk. I hate to write a bad review on a new business, but I suspect that many of these reviews that are already posted are not real reviews and these are things that should be known to the owner. I believe it was the owner helping me that day.

I order the same drink everywhere I go and of course there are different types of espresso and different almond milk so sometimes it varies but this was the worst thing I have ever tasted. My sister even tried to and agreed and she has zero expectations when it comes to coffee. First of all, it definitely was not a latte, there was no foam on top, it looked like mostly coffee with a splash of almond milk. I honestly question if espresso was even used because the taste was so bland, even though it was such a dark color. I joked that who ever owns this shop must not know anything about coffee and must have just saw an opportunity to maybe make some money.

Also, you guys should really look into your hot cups because just holding that cup in the car the lid popped off in the car several times. I ever so slightly moved the cup the lid would pop off, which is very dangerous. The drink was so hot I couldn’t even enjoy it for at least 10 to 15 minutes and once I did try it, it went in the trash because it was that awful.

Also, I was nice enough to leave gratuity. Then when we left, my sister pointed out that there was already an 18% gratuity, So why are you asking people to leave gratuity? That just seems like a scam.

The coffee isn't good.

I had a raspberry coffee and it tastes like cough medicine. Waaaay too many pumps of (not good) syrup. I added cream to it hoping the flavor would be better.....it wasn't. I had such HIGH hopes. Maybe the food will be better. I wasn'table to try anything from the kitchen, sign said it was noy available- that happens.

The syrup is not that tasty (quality and way too many pumps I think!). I was sad to see the creamer separate from the syrup or coffee....

I was hoping for this to be my spot- location and just cute, calming appearance. Next time I'll try something different or the food. Maybe this was a fluke and next time, it will be drinkable. The food pictures look amazing, though.

added after seeing an 18% added gratuity when I never selected that and I even put money in your tip jar. That is a big red flag to me....you should fix that, and the luds pop off the coffe. I hate leaving bad reviews, but the more I think about my experience...it wasn't the best...except the pretty looking shop. I thought the coffee would be amazing since the guy was gushing about his Purple rain lemonade and how his coffee concoctions are delicious (saying you can add alcohol to it at 8:30am was odd though). I should have taken the response from the young woman who "tried" one of his coffees and not remembering it as a HINT. The "oh yah" made me wonder, but I was like...it's early, we all probably are just tired still lol.

Edit: Oh, and why are you adding gratuity to my bill?!? No, no...ai even left money in the tip jar BEFORE tasting my cough...

I visited Christine’s coffee this morning for the first time. I only noticed that it’s open a few days ago. Today I bought the veggie omelette and a delicious banana crumb muffin. That was my first purchase. I was tempted to try out the biscuits and gravy, but I just had biscuits and gravy somewhere else yesterday, I can’t just eat biscuits and gravy every day.

I believe Christine was there, her staff were busy little bees and very friendly, they attended to be very warmly, and I felt welcomed and comfortable as I waited for my order. I didn’t order coffee this morning either, but only because I have been up early this morning and already made a French press at home. I’ve notes that I should buy a cup of coffee next time.
