Abbey's Gab'N Shack — Restaurant in Belding

Decided to try the place after seeing the positive reviews. I tend to believe any place above 4 stars is worth a try as it shows more people than not have had a good experience, and there is a high probability that I will have a good experience too. Right again! Ordered a hot stuff type burger, with pepperjack, pickled jalapeño peppers, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo; served with home made fries and a pickle spear. Wow, the portion was huge for the price I paid. The french fries made the "famous fries" at Cedar Point look like a joke, they were hot, fresh, piled high and delicious splashed with a heavy dose of malt vinegar that was readily available on the table. What a nice find for my son, his son, and me. The food was great. I can't believe they serve my favorite food, chicken gizzards. The waitress was amazingly friendly. It is a small dining area but man I fell in love with this place. I am going to go back and try all the dishes that I think sound so good throughout the summer. There was only one rude customer who made a mean remark about my grandson watching coco melon on my phone. Whatever! I guess he would have liked it better if my grandson was whining and crying because he was bored. Me and my wife stop through about 2-4 time a month this review is based off all my experiences. Fair price, good service. Never had any problems personally, they do get busy at time which I do believe to be most people issue with wait time. If you’re to lazy to cook your own food you’ll get your food when the cook has time to cook it! This is not fast food and is a small sit down dinner.. food is fresh and fantastic but take time to cook right! 4/5 only restaurant I visit in Belding consistently. I love my Grilled...
