Panadería Belén — Restaurant in Belen

The bake goods are always great. Jose and the ladies employees are always nice and polite. Customer service has been very good until this morning. The older baker has been known for his bad temper and today he showed me it and I couldn't believe it. I called to place a catering order for 60 people. When this older gentleman answered I asked "who am I speaking with", you want to know the name of the person taking your order. He answered with an angry voice "just say what you need". Wow! Never expected that from one of the owners and so early in the morning... so, I asked again: "may I have your name? I'm calling to place an order". He replied: "I will never give you my name".... How can you say that to a client who is being polite and placing a big order and even if it's just one piece of bread what you're buying. It's sad when those angry words come from a person. He must be far from happiness. I will keep him...

My wife and I drove up to Belen to get a view of the Solar Eclipse this past Saturday and afterward we saw Panaderia Belen on the way home and stopped to get a few treats for the long ride back to Cruces. We bought a chocolate raise donut, a cherry turnover and a pineapple/cheese turnover. We sampled the donut as soon as we got in the car and both remarked on how light, fluffy and tasty it was. We saved the turnovers for later. When we tried them we both were amazed at how great they were. The cherry was the best I've had in a long time and while neither of us had ever had a pineapple/cheese turnover it was also great. The cheese was like a sweet cream and when combined with the pineapple was amazing! I only wish we lived closer as we would become regular customers! You folks in Belen are very lucky to have this...

Stopped in on a last minute decision to pick something up for a family gathering. It was towards the end of the day and was a little concerned if the baked goods would still be fresh.

We rolled the dice and decided to get a few baked goods and at the end of the day it was a hit. All our family loved our choices from the bakery and everything was fresh.

Would definitely recommend in fact we’ll be on our way there this morning to pick up more baked goods for a family Sunday brunch as requested…😊
