Chavez Brothers Winery and Tasting Room — Attraction in Belen

Stopped on a whim on a long drive between White Sands and Albuquerque. SO GLAD WE DID.

We came in not knowing what to expect and left with three bottles…as well as feeling like Freddie and Sue were our family.

We live near Maryland/Virginia wine country, so we’re big wine people…and this place is a good one. :)

My wife and I always stop and visit whenever we are in the area, we live in Southern New Mexico. Fred and Sue are always wonderful to talk to. My wife and I absolutely love the aroma of the wines. She is not usually a red wine drink but she enjoys the chancellor and Cabernet Sauvigon, along with their sweeter wines. I have enjoyed all of the red wines I've tried so far.
