Gionino's Pizzeria of Bellbrook — Restaurant in Bellbrook

First-time carry-out (Bellbrook, Ohio location). We live less than a mile away, but, frankly, didn't know Gionino's was in the strip-mall right next to DrugMart. A friend told me about them today and much she liked the chicken, which she has delivered frequently. So, we got the fried chicken. It was very good. The drumsticks/thighs were a bit overcooked, but the flavor was wonderful. The chicken breast was very good, moist, tender. And, ohhhh, those "jo-jo's", the wedge potatoes...eyes rolling back in my head. Sooo good. And the slaw was excellent; sweet, creamy, larger knife-cut, not diced. Since Lee's Famous Recipe has gone so downhill in this area, Gionino's is going to be our new go-to place for fried chicken. Looking forward to trying their...

Just tried the Bellbrook location this past Sunday. We got 2 pizzas and 8 pieces of chicken and some Jojos and coleslaw. The pizzas were hot and loaded with fresh ingredients. The chicken was hot and crispy and cooked just right. The Jojos and slaw were also very tasty. The chicken does have Italian spices in the breading so it is a bit different from standard broasted chicken. The only detractor was the crust on the pizzas. We got the regular crust and while it had a decent edge and perfect thickness, it just did not have much flavor, thus the 4-star for the food.

We will go back and try the thin crust, and the toppings were so good and plentiful we will get it when we are not cheating on carbs just to eat...

We have tried all 3 Dayton area Gioninos. We just happened to be in East Dayton several years ago and decided to stop at the East Third Street location and loved the pizza. We had never heard of Gioninos. We live in Centerville and were delighted when they opened on Far Hills at Stroop Rd. Now we have Bellbrook which is the closest. We have never had anything that wasn't awesome. We get our pizzas well done. They put the pizza back on the conveyor half way thru. That is perfect for us. We don't have to tell them how we want our pizzas, they have the info in their system. When I call they say...
