Skyline Chili — Restaurant in Bellbrook

My order number was 20043 on Sunday December 26th 2021 between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.. Emily was our server. Sad to say this would be the last time we come into this location. We came in at 4:23 she asked to take our order and what we would like to drink. We placed our order and then no sooner than 10 minutes she came back finally with our drinks. She had clearly forgotten as we observed her playing back by the make line with the rest of the employees. Another young woman named Jen? Came in chewing on her flannel shirt sleeves joking with our server which further postponed our service. Then after 20 minutes had passed she finally brought out our order and it was not even the order we had placed. In fairness they resolved it quickly. While we were eating we observed the staff playing throwing food at each other and joking while customers waited at tables with no service whatsoever. A gentleman came in by himself and sat down behind us and waited even longer than we had for service. The food tastes okay but the outside of our plates were cold as we watched our food sit up on the line waiting to be served to us while the staff joked around. Emily our server scraped a bunch of food off of the restaurant side of the make line using a scraper tool and then flung it on the guy working the fry station. They all had a nice laugh but makes me worried about eating the food knowing that stuff like that is going on. Then almost immediately after that the guy working the drive-thru with his excessively long hair was scratching his head and shaking his hair out next to where the hot dogs are on the flat grill. Then on top of that our server was standing stirring the chili from the restaurant side of the line while the other young lady was smacking her ponytail back and forth? She only came back to get us a refill when she dropped off our check. No manager in sight just a group of high school kids doing high school things. Terrible service questionable etiquette... Hard pass for us...

Food was cold and wasn’t much better second time around with the replacement. I suggested to the server he might want to let someone know he got attitude and was told it’s hot. When I was asked how things were at check out, i just raised my hand and told the young lady “there’s plenty of SL around” she didn’t even blink and eye or ask why I made the comment…Oh yeah, she was the same one that the server told to check the food temp and the same one that made both of the orders. She was also the same one that gave me attitude several months back hence the reason I hadn’t been back to that store. Wears BENGALS gear…needless to say I’ll be taking my skyline crave to another location even though your store is in my neighborhood. I’ll drive an extra 10 minutes to get hot food serve...

My family and I went into this location last night to grab a quick bite to eat.

I had no idea that I was going to run into a young man named Jeremy that would literally take service to the next level.

This young man was one of the friendliest, funniest, most attentive and knowledgeable servers I have had in a number of years.

After speaking with him for a short time we learned that he isn’t just an unbelievable server, this young man has aspirations of running his own barbershop soon. #GOALS

The food here is always spectacular, but meeting this young man this evening really topped off the night.

Well done skyline, you really know how to hire them! Thanks again for a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back! (It might be to recruit this kid into the Real...
